Let Me Go
Davina could no longer hold back her tears because right now she was so scared. Her head was also starting to ache right now.
"If you answer honestly then I'll probably forgive you," Melvin said coldly. Tried to hold back his emotions so as not to be rude to the woman.
"I really didn't," Davina said, while sobbing.
"Insolent! Well if you don't want to tell the truth. Then you will feel the consequences because of the lies and what you have done.
" Without thinking, Melvin immediately removed the belt that was wrapped around his burly belly. He was like a very scary demon.
"Sir, what are you going to do?" Davina said. Her fear grew even more as the sharp gaze pierced. She felt that this time her life might end.
It got even more terrible when Melvin smiled a faint smile with his upper lip pulled back and then played the belt by rubbing it.
"Sir, please let me go,"Davina said pleadingly. Her voice was hoarse from crying the whole night.
Melvin no longer cared about that poor girl who kept begging. He immediately aimed his belt so strongly at Davina's back that the girl screamed hysterically because her back felt so sore and hot. "Arghh!" Davina shouted for the umpteenth time, her face already filled with tears. Her back really felt very sore and hot.
Melvin continued to whip Davina's smooth back countless times without mercy. It was as if what was in front of him was an object that felt no pain.
"This is the result if you don't tell the truth!" Melvin snapped while whipping Davina's body again with great force. Daniel happened to come in at that moment,so he immediately ran towards Melvin then held his wrist. "Sir, please don't be reckless," Daniel said, trying to calm his boss. He could not bear to see the girl who was helpless.
Davina was now lying limply in a curled up position. Her arms crossed, hugging her front body with sobs that no longer can be heard.
"Take care of her!" Melvin ordered Daniel and immediately walked away from the room.
Daniel looked sadly at the curled little body. Her eyes were closed with a very trembling body. "Calm down, Mr. Melvin is gone," Daniel said softly as he rubbed Davina's back.
Davina groaned when Daniel touched her.
Daniel opened a little of Davina's clothes to confirm the results of Melvin’s actions. The scars of the red lash were clearly visible on her back. Daniel even shuddered in horror at the thought of the pain Davina was feeling.
Davina opened her eyes at a voice that was so gentle and soothing. Her gaze wandered around looking for Melvin, who was no longer there. After confirming that he wasn't there, Davina tried to sit up with her body that felt very crushed.
"Sir, please let me go," Davina asked with tears streaming down her cheeks again. Her hand reached out to grab Daniel's wrist and then grasped it very tightly.
"Miss, be patient. Can you explain everything to me?" Daniel said as he tried to remove his hand. He couldn't do anything because he didn't know what really happened.
"I didn't kill that woman. My arrival in here was only to deliver flowers. But when I went to the toilet, I forgot the direction of the exit so I got lost. Until right in front of that room I heard a voice asking for help. Then I was pushed in by someone," Davina stammered, accompanied by sobs. Davina was relieved, at least the man in front of her was not as bad as Melvin. Hopefully that man can help her out of the villa. Daniel knitted his brows together. Between believing it or not with what Davina said. But when he saw her face that looked innocent it seemed like she was not lying.
Daniel had also checked cctv but there was no footage of anything that happened before Davina entered Gloria's room
"Are you really not lying?" Daniel asked doubtfully.
"Really, sir. If you don't believe me can I borrow your cell phone? I'll call Aunt Helen," Davina said. She also thought of Helen who might be worried about her situation.
"Sorry, I can't do it." Daniel did not want to take the risk because there could be an enemy of his boss who was currently trying to trick them.
"Please just a moment," Davina asked. "I promise I won't say anything. I just want to tell Aunt Helen not to worry about me," Davina added hopefully. "Again, I am sorry." Daniel chose to leave the room because he didn't want to be persuaded by Davina’s words.
