A few hours later finally the operating room door opened.

A male doctor came out with several nurses behind him.

"Doctor, how is she?" Melvin went straight to a doctor named Steven. The tall doctor sighed heavily. His lips felt heavy when he wanted to say the patient's condition. "Sorry, we did our best but the knife stabbed so deeply that it caused a quite fatal wound," Doctor Steven said softly. Melvin’s heart suddenly stopped beating when he heard it. His body staggered to the point of falling if only his hands weren't holding on to the door.

There was something that felt like it stabbed his heart very hard. Until slowly Melvin realized. "What are you saying?" Melvin seemed possessed so that he immediately grabbed the collar of Doctor Steven’s shirt. His eyes were very fiery. "Why can't you save her? If you need money I can give it double!" Melvin shouted, his chest was rumbling. His anger was out of control anymore because the person he loved so much was now injured.

"Sir, please let Doctor Steven go." Daniel tried to help the doctor to break free. "Don't interfere with my business!" Melvin glared sharply at Daniel . "Sir, calm down. I'm sure Miss Gloria will survive because she is a strong woman," Daniel said in a low voice. Hoped that he can calm his boss who was burning with emotions.

Luckily Melvin finally wanted to release his grip from Doctor Steven’s collar. His mind was currently empty with a body that was no longer energized. Melvin’s dream of seeing Gloria get married seemed to have been delayed. Until now, Tumelo did not know about this problem. Melvin doesn't know how to report Gloria’s critical condition. Melvin just watched the nurses pushing the bed blankly. There was a woman he loved that closed her eyes on it. The nurses took Gloria to the ICU so that they could immediately install a medical device that could support her recovery. "Doctor, can we come in to see the patient?" Daniel said to Steven. "Of course, but wait a little longer. After all the equipment is installed you can see her," Doctor Steven said. "Thank you, Doctor," Daniel said. He knew that the doctor must have done his best to save Gloria.

"Then I'll excuse me,"Doctor Steven said, because his body was also tired. Daniel nodded his head. In fact, he wanted to ask about Tumelo. But it looked like Melvin was in a bad mood. Melvin finally entered the ICU after the nurses finished their work. His feet felt heavy when he was about to step toward the bed where Gloria was lying weakly. A lot of medical equipment was attached to Gloria’s body. Her nose was attached to the breathing tube. There was also a monitor beside her bed which was usually used to check how the patient was.

The man who used to always put on a scary face now look gloomy. Even though he didn't shed tears, sad eyes radiated clearly from both of his eyes. Melvin finally moved the chair and sat right beside the bed. "Honey, wake up. I beg you," Melvin said in a sad tone and his chest felt very tight.

Melvin could not held back the tears of sadness that he felt. Until slowly there was a drop of water flowing down his cheek. "Get up, you have to marry the man you love tomorrow. I promise not to oppose your relationship again. You are free to meet him," Melvin explained.

The man had indeed opposed Gloria’s relationship with Tumelo. Because he thought Tumelo was a jerk. Melvin was worried that Gloria will not be happy with him. Mevin then got rid of the hair that covered Gloria’s beautiful face. He rubbed her cheeks slowly for fear that his rough palms would scratch her very smooth skin.

"I'll get revenge for you," Melvin said, his gaze returning to life. He clenched his fists tightly as he recalled Davina’s face. "Gloria, she has to pay because she has made you injured," Melvin said, while staring sadly at Gloria’ pale face. It felt like just this morning they were still joking and chatting. Even at breakfast, Gloria prepared everything. Daniel saw from the glass door that he couldn't even help but shed tears. This was the first time he saw his boss cried. So far, Melvin was known as a strong and cruel person.

After half an hour in the ICU, Melvin finally came out. He must not fall down because there might be a lot of enemies who was laughing at him. And what happened to Gloria should not be caught by outsiders. "Daniel , have you locked the woman up?" Melvin asked his subordinate who was still standing at the door. "Yes, sir," Daniel said curtly. "Good, I'll make some calculations to her." "If Miss Gloria doesn't wake up tomorrow, what about the wedding, sir? What about Tumelo?" Daniel asked carefully.
