Yvonne" Her father raised his hand to slap her but was hung mid air. Yvonne already anticipated the slap so she held his hand.

" She smiled bitterly and continued looking at her father straight in the eyes" So sad, because I will never allow you and your family bully me again" She dropped the shocked father hand and walked towards Loveth who is already shaking inside but was trying to show bravery outside and stopped in front of her.

I promise to collect all what you took from me back and repay you with your coins bit by bit" She threatened and Ashley quickly went to stand in front of Yvonne, guarding her daughter.

She is your sister Yvonne." Ashley said pretending to be hurt as tears rolled down.

I never remembered my so called stupid mother giving birth to two daughters " she said and turned to leave but not without giving them "remember my promise" look.

Family? My family died the day my mother died." She said and walked away but stopped by the door way and turned to face her dad.

Mr Daniel, remember you were the one who disowned your daughter for your step daughter."

Yvonne walked out of the gate and the tears she's been trying hard to stop rushed out. She fell to the floor crying and looking back at the house she just left. That house was once her home, it was once a happy home but not anymore. She lost her mum and father with her home.

She was still deep in thought when Henry placed his hands on her shoulder. She looked up only to see the only man who promised to stand by her.

Let it out" That was the only thing she needs to hear and she cried loudly.

I lost everything, he disowned me. He chose his stepdaughter over me" she shouted still crying hard.

Yvonne's POV

I woke up the next day with a swollen face because of the endless tears I shed, I looked at the time only to see it is 11a.m already. Well, I don't have anything to do for now. I stood up and walked into my big bathroom to freshen up.

I opened the closet after bathing and was marvelled with was I saw.

But I didn't buy anything again yesterday, how cone they were so many clothes here. Henry and his way" I thought and I smiled. Wait, did I just smiled at the thought of him.

The door opened and the maid whose name is Aunty Abi walked in.

Come down for your meal, Master is sending someone to pick you up" she said.

The driver came to pick me after eating and was surprised when we stopped in front of the popular but hard to enter company. H group of companies" I was led into a private elevator but not without people giving me the weird look.

Who is she?" One of the employee asked

I don't know, maybe one of the CEO's fling" the other replied.

CEO fling? Nobody has entered the CEO private elevator before aside from CEO himself. Are you sure this is one of his fling?"

I am sure, you know maybe she is a new fling and he is trying to make her special " the other said and they continued walking.

I am so jealous of this girl." Another employee said while watching my back in disgust.

I am sure she seduced the CEO, aside from her pretty face, she looks like a s**t" the other said.

We passed the CEO secretary who was also looking at me coldly and was led into his office.

I was flabbergasted with the interior decor of the office, though it wasn't so colourful but I am sure it worth some hundred thousand, there was a room there too in case he doesn't want to go home.

There she comes" Henry said looking serious without smiling at all. It makes me wonder if this is the same guy I saw yesterday.

Yvonne, meet Manager Faith" He introduced me to the beautiful, slim woman sitting on the couch facing him. Her demeanor was strong and I am sure she is not somebody to be played with but wait, did I just hear correctly. Manager Faith?

I looked at the lady who just hugged me and I was shocked.

Ma... Ma... Manager Faith? The only manager who can make a D-LIST actress become an A-list actress in a year?? But why is she here?" I said in my mind and was about to open my mouth when Henry continued as if he knows what was happening on my mind.

My feet were rooted on the floor, they refused to move. If I tell you I wasn't scared of the Henry in front of me now then I am joking. I don't know whether to go out or take me sit or keep standing.

Won't you have your seat?" He asked looking at me and smiling brightly, if someone told you this was the Henry who looked like an assassin a while ago, you are going to deny it.

Me?? I.. I will sit " I stammered and faking a smile just to ease my fears.

He smiled as if he just see through my lies and gesture for me to near him.

So why are you sweating?" He asked and that was when I realise that sweat has covered my forehead, I bow my head embarrassed.

You don't need to be scared of me. I have to be like this so they don't take me for granted." He stood up, placed his hand on my head playing with my hair.

I was cooking in the kitchen when I felt a warm hand on my waist. My heart was beating fast when I inhale his scent, that was Henry.

Hmm.. Fine" he replied as he bend his head to inhale the scent of my hair.

Inhaling your scent has sent all my tiredness away, what's the name of your shampoo " he asked without removing his hand from my waist which is making me blush hard.
