Garnet Pack Warriors haven't fought in a long time because their alpha has made it a rule they will not attack werewolf packs or other clans. They attack back if they are attacked. The last time warriors fought was six months ago, when warriors from the Topaz Pack arrived with their alpha and beta in an attempt to persuade Charis to stop cooperating with the Lycan clan. Charis flatly refused, and the war was unavoidable. The Garnet Pack, of course, won because the Topaz Pack only brought a hundred warriors. But the Topaz Pack refused to accept defeat and returned two days later with nearly all of their warriors. The Garnet Pack was overwhelmed, and they were forced to order the pack members to participate. The war was stopped after the Ruby Pack and Obsidian Pack came to reconcile them.
