"What should I do to get Emric out of this pack?" Charis felt upset. She paced back and forth and bit her fingernails. Her entire body was on fire with emotion.
Aria, who was in Charis's body, was lying down and enjoying her quiet life after Draven became Alpha because she no longer had to help Charis solve a problem or make a decision. But when Charis wouldn't stop talking about how annoyed she was with Emric, Aria couldn't help but think about it. "What's wrong with you? Usually, you don't care what Emric says or does." Aria was a bit shocked. Did Charis lose her temper?
"I'm just worried." Charis paused her walk, and her blue eyes fixed on the hibiscus bloom. She is in the swimming pool right now. "I'm worried that Draven will give up and decide to return to the world of people. I don't want that to happen. I won't let Emric or anyone else take Alpha's position."
Aria inhaled deeply. "What makes you think that way? Draven is already a werewolf, right? He can't go back to the world of people. It's hard to become a person again. There is only one way to do it, and it is very risky." Aria helped Charis calm down.
"Right. No way." Charis nodded and agreed with what Aria said. "But there is another possibility. Draven gave up, and he didn't want to be an Alpha. I'd never put myself in that situation again."
Aria is dizzy. "Why do you think too much? Not always what you expect to happen. Not necessarily Emric planning to get rid of Draven, and if that happens, not necessarily Draven giving up and walking away from his responsibilities." Aria gave her hand a lick. "Don't worry, Charis. Get rid of all those thoughts because they will only make you miserable."
Charis bites down on a strawberry. "But what if it does? I don't know how to convince Draven not to give up."
Aria closes her eyes. Can Charis give her a break, even for a day? Every day, she thought about a lot of different things. "Chill out, Charis. Breathe in and out. Get rid of all the bad feelings you have. Just follow me." Aria forced Charis to do her bidding, inhale and exhale slowly until Charis felt calmer.
"Thank you, Aria. Now I'm at ease." Charis has a genuine smile.
"Don't think about anything. Let the future be a secret. We just have to live in the present." Aria again spoke her wise words.
"Yes." Charis nodded, then she dropping her eyes to the floor."But I didn't just put Draven in the position of leader. I also wanted to give Draven the position of CEO at my father's company." Charis was again feeling nervous and worried. Was she going to give Draven a lot to think? Isn't she self-centered?
Aria chose to sleep. She was too lazy to respond to Charis' words. It's all for the sake of her mental health.
"Charis." The screaming startled Charis.
"Gris." Charis let her best friend tightly hug her.
"What's it like being a wife?" Griselda teased Charis by swaying her body left and right, which made Charis's body sway too.
Charis blushed fiercely. She remembered Draven's body, Draven's fingers stroking her skin, and Draven's sexy lips. Ah, it all made her heart race. As usual, Charis made Aria laugh. "I just feel different now that I have a husband," She said.
Griselda poked Charis's chin. "Was last night successful?"
Charis looked angrily at Griselda. "Don't ask about privacy like that. It's impolite."
Griselda purses her lips. "I'm just asking, did it work or not? When I married Oryn, I also told you everything, especially about the mate marking process." She pointed to her tattooed neck. She deliberately wore a shirt that opened the neck so that the beautiful tattoo could be seen by anyone, a tattoo that indicated that she had met her mate.
Charis showed her neck with the crescent moon tattoo. "It worked. Of course."
Griselda smiled seductively. "Apparently, Alpha Draven is the kind of guy who doesn't want to waste time." Then she lets out a loose laugh.
Charis rolls her eyes. "Yes. All men are like that."
Griselda laughed. "Take a seat. Why do you keep standing?" She grabbed Charis's hand and pulled her over to a chair by the swimming pool. They sit right next to each other. Griselda smoothed Charis' dark blonde hair, which was messed up from the wind.
"Have you finished training the warrior?" Charis looked at how dirty Griselda's pants.
"Yes, I have. I couldn't have come here if I hadn't." Griselda is a Delta whose job is to train the strength of the wolves that belong to warriors and pack members. Griselda's wolf is very strong. It's almost as strong as the wolves of the men. "Why do you look annoyed?"
Inside Charis' body, Aria clicks her tongue. Charis had forgotten about Emric, and because Griselda asked, Charis' emotions returned.
"He came to Alpha's workspace. He said he wanted to see Draven and then he wanted to see Sam." Charis said excitedly.
"Emric is very annoying!" Griselda was also annoyed.
Aria and Lin—the wolf Griselda—could only sigh at hearing the humans they inhabited bodies talking about Emric.
"Ah, I'm too lazy to talk about it." Charis shook her head. Talking about Emric only made her emotional, then she remembered Emric's pale face when she met Sam. Will Emric give up? It seems impossible.
Griselda nodded in agreement. "Let's forget all about Emric." She took her cell phone out of her pants pocket. "Should we watch a movie? I got the most recent movie recommendation from the human world."
"Is that actor handsome?" Charis's pretty eyes sparkled.
"Of course." Griselda winks her eyes.

Somewhere else. Emric Swinton, who was sitting near the beautiful and sexily dressed woman, started sneezing for no reason. Despite the fact that he was healthy and hadn't had the flu. Is anyone talking about him?
Emric drank the vodka that was in the crystal glass. His mind was in such a mess. It felt like he wanted to crush or punch someone. He was so sorry, and all the regret filled his chest cavity. His dark blue eyes stared intently at the table.
"Emric, what's going on?" She wolf sitting to his right stroked Emric's chin.
"Looks like Emric is in a bad mood. How about we cheer up Emric?" She wolf sitting next to Emric gave an idea.
Emric was at the nightclub in the pack because he didn't like humans. Even though many people invited him to the human world, he was never interested in going there.
Emric let out a big breath. He felt like his head was going to explode. It turned out that coming to this place could not have helped him feel calmer and forget about everything. He used to like loud music and hanging out with hot women, but now everything seemed boring and empty.
He stood up, leaving the confused women and feeling bad that they couldn't help him.
Emric was outside the club, leaning his back against the wall. His eyes were closed, enjoying the night air slapping his face.
"Upset?" The hoarse voice startled Emric.
Emric tilt of his lips. "Yeah. I shouldn't have wasted any time. Did it as quickly and cleanly as possible without leaving a trace." He chuckled.
Draven Hoover, Charis's mate, is now the new leader of the Garnet Pack. The man who used to be human became Alpha easily because he was Charis's mate. In not even two weeks, he turned into a werewolf. Why is nobody protesting? Why did the higher-up packs stay quiet and do nothing to stop Draven from becoming Alpha?
Emric is regretful. In the past, he should have tried harder to take leadership from Charis. He was the only one who should have been Alpha, not Charis or Draven.
The man gave Emric his cigarette and lighter and asked, "Do you need my help?"
Emric said, "I'm not in the mood to smoke." He clicks his tongue. "I want to strangle somebody."
The person who stood in front of Emric laughed. "Do you need my help? I will be glad to help you. You can use me however you like."
Emric gives his eyes a roll. "Not yet. I need time to think."
The man laughed. "Think of a great plan, and I'll carry it out neatly."
Emric Snorted.
"By the way, you spend a lot of time with other women. Don't you ever think about how your mate feels?"
Emric clicks his tongue. "And she likes to spend time with all of her patients."
The angry look on Emric's face made the man laugh out loud.
