The Dawn

Yesterday Peter felt so much better, after the meditation, he felt like it was the first step towards healing. When he was having his breakfast, he decided to read Jane’s letter, because he was in a good mood after hearing the news. He wouldn’t waste anytime before he pay her a visit, he just have to take the vaccine, it will take only a month till he gets injected with the two doses of this vaccine.

He will definitely try to be even a best friend for Jane, after all what he had read from her, the misery that she was living in, the despair, and the good initiation she made, trying to reach out to him, and worrying about what he is doing, how he is coping with the matter, she deserves at least a visit.

At 4:33 p.m., he was eating his lunch on the balcony, trying to stay as calm as possible, even though he feels his hands shivers from time to time, but he is resisting it. When he got inside he heard knocks, he went through the hall way, it was coming from the attic, he completely ignored it, and rushed into the living room, then put some music and made a cup of green tea.

“Peter, I need you to write down everything you see, describe it in details please”, Sally said.

“Okay doctor, will do”, he said back.

“And stay in touch with your people, I mean by texting or calling each other, don’t disconnect from them, please”, she added.

“I’m trying to do this, it’s my only refuge when I feel trapped, and locked up or when I almost lose hope”, Peter said.

“Yes Peter, the one you love will do their best to comfort you, and make you feel secure”, she added.

“I know, they are such a blessing, doctor”, he commented.

23/March/2021 Dear Jane,

How are you?, tell me what are you passing through there?, I have read all your letters, but I couldn’t reply due to the circumstances. I felt glad that you sent me those, it was a big pleasure that got into me while reading them, I’m so grateful.

As soon as I get injected with the second dose of this vaccine, I will pay you a long visit my friend, I would love to see you and strengthen our old precious friendship. I will do my best to cherish this friendship and keep it strong and pure.

Peter decided when he woke up today, that he will write Jane a letter now since he can deliver it, she will be excited to hear from him, after all those letters, he wished that he could go to her now, to his good friend, but he has only taken the first dose, so one month maximum, and he can meet her, and chat about her life, their memories.

It was 4:22 p.m., Peter has already talked to his shrink, and it was good as usual, he was eating his lunch now, and he was thinking of how things are partially taking a turn now, he kept praying that he will be able to live, sleep, think properly and with fear or anxiety again.

In the evening, he grabbed his cup of tea, and some snacks that aren’t so healthy, he opened the door of the balcony, so the warm breeze can come inside, fill the room with coziness and sweet memories, Crystal too was feeling calm and relieved, she was sitting quietly beside him, with a peaceful look on her face.

It’s been three weeks now since he took his first dose, so at 10:00 a.m., he went to take the second. He didn’t feel any pain during the two doses, neither did he have symptoms, so he is doing well, and he shall have his life back so soon.

He returned home, made his breakfast that is a croissant with a cup of tea, that he had on the balcony, with Crystal eating hers too. Jane hasn’t replied to his letters, he sent her two in the last three weeks, but no replies came, she didn’t even send him a letter as usual, so he was worried about her.

At noon, he got some work done, after having his session with doctor Sally, and he was sipping his green tea, while listening to some music, and thinking about Jane, he decided to pay her a visit tomorrow, and he hoped that she just wasn’t able to send him, nothing bad has happened.
