“Hey!”, Sam said “I fell in love with your book man, I barely managed to get out of this lockdown alive, and couldn’t think of anything except breathing and having fun, how were you able to organize your thoughts and have the patience to come up with such buzzard and devastating things that happened during a lock down?”, he added. “I was living there Sam, I didn’t make up anything, all I did is writing down what I saw, in details, I was thinking of a way to take the burden off my back, I needed to unload all if this, and recalling it while writing it, was nothing near living it, and feeling that you are in an ongoing danger, all of the world was dealing with this invisible enemy they say, which is the virus, but I had to deal with much more invisible life threatening things, with nothing I could do that would spare me from suffering and protect me from a probable death, as long as I was breathing, as long as I was still waking up, I was being a permanent target for those creatures”, Peter said. “Man!, but how were you able to escape at the end of your story?, you never explained it”, Sam asked. “Maybe Jane saved me, or decided to let me go, maybe I was faithful and I believed in the mercy of god, s he rewarded me. I just opened my eyes and there was nothing, no more closed windows, no more claws on my skin, no more screams, so I stood up shaking with fear, expecting something to happen again, but I simply walked out of the door, and went to my parent’s home, never to return to her house again, but I don’t hate her actually, she was just a victim, she wanted to have a normal life, and she needed help, help from her last hope, from me, I guess she only needed to pretend that she is talking me in person all the time, and she had hopes when she kept on sending the letters, I was a refuge to her. Though, I couldn’t act like a hero, just because she used my image on her hero, so I had to do something that maybe Jane knew that I would do that, I was being insistent on her case, I worked with the police since I knew her dad, and I knew that they had some relatives too, so I told them in which country they live, and their last name, by that they were able to search for them, and at last catch that monster, and gave him for a life sentence”, Peter explained, while looking satisfied. “Good for you, you really are a brave and loyal man, Peter, it will always be an honor knowing you, partner”, Sam commented, while putting his arm around Peter with a proud look on his face. “Thank you Sam”, Peter said with a smile. “Okay, let’s go back to work, our boss might have given us a promotion recently, but he won’t tolerate any delay”, Sam said in a sarcastic tone. “You’re right, we better hurry”, Peter said back, then got up and headed to their offices. ********************
