A Fox Journey Part 2

The bedroom was big. The walls were a soft pink. One big window looking into the dark moss covered forest. A queen sized bed with a fancy headboard. White blankets now cluttered on the ground. A mahogany vanity with a big circular mirror sitting on top of it. And a rocking chair in the corner of the room facing the window. I tried to open the door handle but it wouldn't turn. My breathing started to quicken. I tried again, but still nothing. The bastard locked me in. I slammed my small fist onto the door. The contact making a loud thudding noise. I hit it again, harder. Over and over again I hit the door. It didn't budge. My heart started beating faster and faster. My eyes darting around the room for an exit. I couldn't stay here. I couldn't. Then I heard the sound of a lock clicking. I jumped away from the door as it swung open. Before I could even think I darted out the door. A strong arm grabbed me around the waist holding me in front of the doorway. I ignored the weird tingles. "Let me go." I screeched at the male. "Not until you calm down." I heard the velvet deep voice. I tried wiggling out of his grip but his grip was like an iron chain. It's almost impossible to break an iron chain. That's why instead of breaking it, you pick the lock. I know from experience. I stopped moving to let my breathing return to normal. I looked up at the giant male holing me still. "There I'm calm. I'm chill. Okay, I'm fine. Now let me go." He gave me a suspicious look, but he did let me go. I backed up a few steps, showing him a calm face. I even put my hands up in the air showing I meant no harm. One, two, three. I darted for the door again, faster this time. Just like the last time, Cassar Salvaterre's arm grabbed hold of me. I started squirming, kicking and punching him as fast and as hard as I could. Considering he was holding down my arms, and my legs were very short, I wasn't doing much damage. "I can't stay here!" I screamed at him, as he threw me onto the soft bed. He stood over me with his hands on his hips. "Why?" He was honestly asking. He was so stupid. I stood up on the bed so we were eye level. "Because it's not my home. I don't live here." I explained. "It could be though. If you stop your damn fighting." He groaned. Then I had an idea. Not a good idea, but an idea. "You know what? Your right. This is a good place. A very nice place. But unfortunately I don't have my stuff. So I'm just going to run right over to the Algoren Pack, grab my bag. And then I will come right back. I promise. Okay." I gave him an innocent smile as I bolted for the open door again. He didn't fall for my very persuasive argument. He grabbed me by the waist again and flung me on the bed again. "Or or or-" "I thought you were a wolf, not a seal." I said scrunching my face up. He rolled his eyes, continuing. "I can get someone to get it for you." My eyes widened in fear. I jumped off the bed standing in front of him. "Nope, nope, nope, that's okay. I can do it myself. Don't worry. It won't be hard. I don't want to bother anyone." "Oh your not bothering anyone." He started turning around to give the orders. "You can't!" I screamed in panic. He turned around facing me, raising a brow. I gave an awkward cough. "I have... sensitive things." Very sensitive things. Vials and vials of wolfs-bane. Two daggers. One small handgun. Some jewellery the Luna of the Algoren Pack will never miss. The PIN numbers to all the Alpha's credit cards. A bunch of cash. Sensitive things like that. But I let the blood rush to my cheeks, so he would think other sensitive things. He believed me. He nodded his head as if understanding, and spoke quietly. "I'll send a female to pick up your stuff." I growled in frustration, that wasn't the answer I wanted. I could just imagine some ungraceful klutz tripping over their own feet, all my sensitive things come tumbling out of the bag. Then I would be killed. "I can't trust you with this. You attacked me." I yelled at him. He cringed but tried covering it up with a scoff. "I did not attack you. I tackled you." "That wasn't a tackle. I didn't see a football. Did you? No! That means you attacked me." "Well it's your fault for running away." "Try telling a judge that." Changing my voice to mimic his deep one. "Yes sir, She tried to run away from me after I kidnapped her, and attempted to kill her, so then I beat her face into a rock." He rolled his eyes. "That's a bit over-dramatic." My jaw dropped in shock. "Your kidding right? Please tell me your kidding." He was about to say something, but before he could, I did it again. I punched the Alpha. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I did learn from my mistake though. This time I went for the gut. A quick sharp uppercut. He doubled over clutching his stomach. I bolted for the door. A smile forming on my face, but as fast as it came it disappeared. After I passed through the door I saw three huge males and two huge females standing in the hallway in front of me. Waiting for me. Blocking my exit. I knew I could get through them. They were very big, too big for the small hallway they were lined up in. They would just run into each other. I was ready for a challenge. Before I could even attempt the greatest Houdini act the world has ever seen I felt the arms wrap around me again. I gave the five wolves pleading eyes, begging them to have mercy. I was whipped back into the bedroom. Wolves my ass, more like p***y cats. "Do you have a d**k for a brain?" I yelled. "I heard that's not healthy." His only response was to throw me on the bed, again. "I am not a rag doll you know!" "You can stay here until the morning. We will talk more then." He ignored me. Alpha Cassar started walking towards the door. My jaw dropped. He wasn't going to leave me here. He couldn't just leave me here. Giving me one last look he walked passed the door with ease, and then closed the door. He left me here. I gave a loud half groan, half scream, of pure anger and frustration. I ran to the door, trying the doorknob. Locked. I tried pounding on the door. Over and over and over again. Nothing. Cassar Salvaterre did not come back. The stupid poodle was probably enjoying a hot bubble bath while I was stuck in this gods forsaken room. The longer I slammed on the door the angrier I became. I hated being trapped. The room felt like it was getting smaller and smaller. My body started to shake. My fox wanted out. It took everything I had not to shift. If I shifted they would know. They would come back in here and kill me. I wanted to shift. I wanted to shift so badly. I needed to distract myself, but there was nothing to do in this stupid now tiny bedroom. I ran to the window and put as much momentum behind my jump as I possibly could trying to break the glass. I just bounced right off of it. What kind of i***t puts unbreakable glass in a bedroom? I tried again. And again. And again. I knew I looked like a crazy person, but at this point I was crazy. And then I had an epiphany. If I couldn't break out, I would distract myself with making art. Quickly I got to work. I spent two hours on it. Every second cursing the bastard that put me in here. When I was satisfied with my art piece my brain was a little more clear. I went to work on finding a way out. I had done it before. Found a way out of an impossible place. I could do it again. For the next two hours, I quietly searched high and low in the bedroom. I quickly realised, there was no way out. No vents, no hidden door in the closet, no secret latch on the window. Only the door that was indestructible and being guarded by five monsters. The more I looked the more my need to shift grew. Eventually I gave up on looking. When I was just about to start bashing my head against a wall I realised, my artwork wasn't finished. I had just gotten started. I may not have been Houdini, but I was definitely Picasso. For the next couple of hours I raged inside the bedroom. I needed the wolves outside of the room to know exactly how pissed I was. And who I pissed at. After I had perfected my art piece I was still angry. Tired and angry. My mum always told me whenever I was feeling upset, just breathe it out. I'll give the Alpha credit, he was on time. When he said we would talk in the morning, he was not lying. The second the morning sun hit the huge window, I heard the door open. I wasn't paying attention though. I was focused on my meditation. Breathing in and out. When a shifter has fought for hours with their animal form, they become exhausted. Their body has no more energy. You can't think straight, you can barely move. All I wanted to do was sleep, but I couldn't because if I did I might miss an opportunity to escape. So instead I did the next best thing. I sat in the middle of the floor legs crossed, surrounded by my masterpiece, breathing in and out. That was what the Alpha saw when he walked into the bedroom. I did not see his reaction. "What the hell?" Hearing his reaction was just as good.
