Blake’s POV Jacob’s tiny hands twitch in his sleep, his soft breathing the only thing grounding me. I sit by his crib, my fingers trailing over the edge of the wooden frame as if keeping physical contact will somehow keep him safe. He’s so small, so vulnerable, and the thought of not being here for him, even for a moment, makes my chest tighten. The anger that’s been simmering inside me since I woke up hasn’t gone away, but it’s shifted—twisted into something sharper, more focused. I can’t think about Jax right now.
