Dhalia’s POV I wake up in Blake’s arms, his steady breathing the only sound in the room. His face is serene, untouched by the storm raging around us. But my mind is anything but calm. Flashes of the night before flicker in my memory—waking several times to see Jax either staring blankly at the ceiling or at Blake, his expression twisted with guilt and frustration. He’s not here now, though, and the absence feels heavy. The weight of the day ahead settles on my chest before I even move. Exhaustion rolls over me like a wave, dragging me under before I’ve even begun. I sigh, carefully untangling myself from Blake’s embrace, and slip out of bed. The warm spray of the shower does little to ease the tension in my muscles. By the time I’m dressed and ready, Blake is still asleep. He looks peace
