Nora’s POV “Where are you?” I asked Lillian over the phone as I waited for her at the hotel lobby. “You said you were close.” “I am,” she replied. “I’m literally on my way. Traffic just slowed down.” “Lillian, we’re already late.” “I know, I know. Please wait for me. I’m coming.” “Hurry up,” I said, shaking my head. “Seriously.” “I’m hurrying.” I ended the call and dropped into one of the lobby chairs, tapping my foot lightly against the floor. This gig was too good to mess up, and I didn’t want to start things off looking unprofessional.
