Daniel and Fenrir were feeling uneasy, they knew their mate was there but this crowd wasnt going to make it easy.
He sighed, he might as well go see Luke's piece and place a bid on it.
He enjoyed helping out his pack members, especially one as talented as Luke.
He turned to look over at him and found him standing next to some painting with a frown.
"Theres no way im going to sell my piece with these here." He said exasperated.
I smiled, "Show me you piece, I'd love to see how talented you've gotten over the years."
He brightened up a bit, excited to show his talents to his Alpha.
He started walking towards a wide hall, turning around every now and then to make sure he didnt lose me with the crowd.
When he got to one of the rooms at what seemed like the very end of the L shaped hall, he turned adound with a bright smile.
Alpha, your Luna is next to my piece. He mindlinked.
...
Without another second, Daniel walked forward only to be stopped by the beautiful sight in front of him.
His mate.
She was stunning.
His heart fluttered as he took her in.
She looked ravishing in her dress.
Like if shed come out of one of his dreams and stood in the middle of a room, tempting his every sense with her presence.
Her scent hit his nose in an instant, the same fresh flowers from last time.
Fernin purred at the sight of her, clearly agreeing with me as I noticed her.
She was talking to a woman that seemed to be asking a question about an art piece.
He couldnt believe how breathtakingly gorgeous she was. His knees weakened at the sound of her laugh, his heart racing at the sight of it.
As if sensing our presence, she turned mid laugh to look at us and froze.
Her eyes softened at the sight of us, a warm smile forming.
Fenrir jumped, our mate likes us!!
I smiled, time to win her heart then.
I walked over with Luke by my side, introducing ourselves to the other woman and saying hello to Maia.
She kept stealing glances my way, making my heart melt.
She likes the way we dressed, Fenrir purred.
He was right, wed dressed up so that she could be impressed.
Wed worn an dark green suit with a black silk undershirt.
Making our brown eyes pop, as Alina and Leslie had jumped up in excitement to drive home the point.
A our curly hair carefully trimmed at the tips and styled in our fade with a mohawk haircut.
No detail was left unnoticed, our mate seeming to enjoy our attire.
Our wolf medallion caught her attention, she reached out instinctively only to place her hand firmly at the side as if scolding herself.
"Thats beautiful." She said in conserved awe.
I smiled, reaching my hand to hold it carefully amd reaching for hers to bring it to the medallion.
"Its a family heirloom. Has been for decades." I said as she leans in closely to observe the medallion.
Her wine colored dress revealed her cleavage, causing Fenrir to growl with lust inside of me.
She turned her eyes to me and blushed.
Hesitantly she pulled herself a bit away from me, allowing me to get a closer look at her.
She looked amazing, every detail being perfect.
Her golden leaf headpiece looked like a leaf crown above her head.
It strangely resembled the fairy queens crown. But hers was one of thorns and flowers.
My mate was already talking with Luke as i was slowly brought back to reality. I could lose myself observing her beauty all day and not even notice.
She turned to look at me again, offering her arm.
"I'm sorry i didnt hear you." I said sheepishly.
She smiled, "I can give you a tour around the place since Luke said you hadnt really been able to look around." She offered teasingly.
Thank you Luke, i mindlinked him.
No worries Alpha, he laughed back.

Maia's POV
I was surprised hed actually came, but even more surprised to find out that i had been waiting for him.
With each minute the exhibit had been opened, I'd carefully walked from room to room searching for something but never quite knowing what I was looking for.
Until i saw him.
My heart started to flutter as I caught a glimpse of him. A wave of peace hitting me as he walked towards me.
A wave of peace much like the one I felt earlier today when I restored myself.
I blushed, taking my hands away from his medallion. Hed been staring at me the whole time I was dozing off.
The medallion was beautiful, yes. But everything about him was even more beautiful.
He smiled, taking a step forward and taking my hand in his. There it was again, that spark that seemed to send chills down my spine.
Chills that woke up every nerve of my body, as if it were asleep until he touched me.
I could hear his voice, but his lips were very distracting.
Those plump lips.
A man shouldnt have such big lips to distract me.
Just then I caught notice of his eyes intently fixed on me again. I looked back, wanting to bring him close enough to kiss.
I blushed.
I didnt want to let go, but id humiliated myself enough for the moment.
Just then I'd caught what Luke and Katherine were speaking about, his art work.
She had been asking about it before theyd arrived, very adamant about wanting it to be reserved for her.
Unfortunately, i couldnt reserve pieces.
Only the artist could.
"Well, if this piece were mine. Id display it in my home in Scottsdale. I cant live without it." She repeated herself for Luke.
I always liked Katherine, she was very determined and always bought atleast 5 pieces whenever she came.
The fact that she was an heiress to a huge multinational company helped with all her determination.
If Luke wasnt careful, she'd turn him into her personal artist.
I giggled, "Well, Luke is the man responsible for this beautiful piece. Maybe a quick chat between the two of you would help you with that dream coming true Katherine." I offered with the best charm i could muster.
Luke's eyes widened at that.
"I'd love to, maybe Miss Maia can show a personal tour to my friend, since we didnt get the opportunity to appreciate the exhibit...while we discuss the inspiration for my piece." He said with a flourish as well.
This kid was going places.
I turned to Daniel, offering my arm. "Shall we?"
He seemed dazed for a few seconds then apologized.
"Im sorry i didnt hear you." He said embarrassed.
"I can give you a tour around the place since Luke said you hadnt really been able to look around" I teased.
He smiled before taking my arm in his, his eyes glosing over if only for a second before he walked.
"In all honesty, ive never been in an art gallery before." He confessed as we exited the room.
I paused, "then im glad this is your first" i smiled jokingly.
He blushed.
I giggled as i pulled his arm with both hands through the hall.
He was nearly half a foot taller than me, keeping in mind that i was 6 feet tall.
We walked into the third room. This room had all the abstract pieces.
My favorite one was the one that looked like colorful smoke.
The oranges and pinks reminded me of my own abilities. Soft but strong.
The blues reminded me of my eyes, especially when it came to healing Lilian. Shed always said they shone like the night sky.
Lilian.
Just the thought of her sister pulled at her heart. I wonder if shed come tonight.
Daniel seemed to sense her change in mood.
"Did you draw this one?" He asked worriedly.
I smiled, "no, but its my favorite piece. Its a shame no one has placed a bid on it for the second time. But....it also means i get to see it more now."
He looked back at the painting and nodded.
Before i could ask, he walked me over to another painting, then another and another.
"I was wondering..." his voice trailed off.
I looked up at him.
He seemed to be focusing on a piece that looked like thunder against the dark skies.
"I'd love to get to know you" he finally blurted out.
I smiled, he was nervous.
"Well. If youd like to come over tomorrow. I do tend to have lots of left overs...we could hang out and talk then?" I offered.
I immediately regretted it. Now he'll know how lame i was. No one wqnts to hang out in a gallery and eat left overs Maia. I scolded myself.
His bright smile caught my attention again.
"I'd love that."
