Chapter 6- Smitten

Its been what feels like eternity but Matt and Xander pointed out has only been 2 songs later since the girls walked out to the club to see if they could bring my mate to our vip section.

Matt had let Leslie go reluctantly but only after a heavy kiss and basically darting up the stairs to check if anyone tried anything with his mate.

Xander was more understanding with his mate, just softly kissing her mark right before she walked away...making Alina blush heavily before following Matt and pushing me up the stairs.

Matt was leaning over the backs of the vip round booth following the girls as they walked through the dance floor that seemed fuller than usual.

Xander had mindlinked them the very short description of my mate right as they walked into the group of people...it was hard to come up with a better description than just beautiful.

 She was gorgeous.

Found her alpha. Leslie mindlinked.

Music to my ears.

Way to go babe! Matt cheared on.

....

My drinks are disappearing i sighed in disappointment.

Lexi seemed to have found a very tall man with a very neon green shirt (or maybe it was white and just had a light reflection?) to dance and flirt with. 

I smiled mostly to myself, if it wasnt for Lexi id be at home watching some terrible movie and wrapped in my snuggie.

I tried to walk over to her to ask her if she was ok for me to go get some water, when two girls started dancing in front of where i wanted to walk to.

They seemed to notice me and turned to smile, "did your friend leave you hanging?" The brunette leaned in to ask.

I smiled, "maybe, trying to ask her that right now" i motioned in Lexi's direction.

Seeming to notice what i was trying to do, Lexi looked up from her neon green guy to mouth an im good and a wink.

"Want to go dance in the vip section?" The blond girl with the cute pink dress asked.

I smiled, why not?

"Sure. Let me go get a water and ill be right there." I said motioning to the bar.

"Just say Alina and Leslie invited you" the girl who pointed to herself as Alina said.

Leslie smiled and seemed to fade out a bit as her eyes glossed over. 

I grabbed her arm, "are you ok?"

I was sure she was about to pass out.

Shock seemed to settle in as her eyes began to focus again.

With an embarrassed smile she leaned into my ear and said, "had a few tequila shots earlier, ill go with you to get some water."

I smiled back, been there before. Poor thing almost passed out.

I gave Lexi a thumbs up and motioned to the vip section. She flashed a thumbs up as she kept grinding on her partner.

I hadnt noticed how tipsy i was when i was dancing, but walking was a whole mission on its own.

I kept seeing two of Leslie as she walked in front of me holding my hand.

She went up to the bar and the bartender seemed to appear out of no where.

"Hey Les! What can i get you guys?" His shoulders seemed a bit tense...maybe the night was getting overwhelming.

"Hey Stan! Just two waters please" she smiled back.

Stan seemed to have had the waters in his pocket ready to go.

Best customer service ever, he was definitely getting a tip!

I reached into my phone again to take my card iut when Leslie put her hand on mine.

"No need, the owner of the club is paying for us" she beamed.

I tried to protest but she just grabbed my arm in hers and led the way into the vip section.

It was oddly a little darker up here, only the flashing of lights from the floor seeming to provide anything here.

I breathed in deeply, thinking only about how much i wanted to see things more brightly and feeling a warmth wash over me.

When i opened my eyes the lighting was much better, all the dance lights flashing a little stronger. Even the ones that were off were shinning brightly.

Thats when i saw him, his eyes fixed on me like if hed noticed what i did.

Oh god, he did.

The lights in the club were all shinning brighter suddenly, but before i could react and ask why theyd turn them all on i saw her.

She was walking arms locked with Leslie. A bottle of water in her hand and squinting eyes.

I saw her eyes flash blue before they settled.

God the mate call was playing with my eyes!

She looked breath taking, her embarrassed smile making my heart flutter involuntarily.

I stood up, not knowing what to do.

I could hear Matt and Xander giggle at my reaction but i didnt care.

My mate was here.

And she noticed me.

I walked over right as Leslie introduced me as the club owner.

She smiled another gorgeous smile, "nice to neet you, I'm Maia." 

Maia. Fenrir repeated for us both.

She held her hand out to me.

Slowly, as if not knowing what to do i took her hand in mine.

Sparks flew immediately.

I tried to seem charming and tried to wow her but i couldn't speak.

I was smitten.

Leslie reacted for me, "his name is Daniel".

"Daniel" my mate repeated to herself.

Shes perfect,  Fenrir purred.

Seeming to gain my senses back, i motioned for a seat.

"Would you join us?" I tried to sound charming but sounded weird to my own ears.

She smiled and slowly took her hand away from mine as she walked to take a seat, introducing herself to everyone at the table. 

Leslie slapped my chest playfully, "easy there tiger, dont wow her too much".

I laughed, this was not gonna be easy.
