Maia was more than ready to test her own abilities. Shed always been too careful. Her mother had always insisted that she needed to hide...to show only a little just to be sure. She'd only ever exposed herself when she'd thought Daniel's life to be in danger. It was too sudden for her to have an off-hand reaction like the millions of times she'd been able to rescue Lilian from any harm.
