I woke in the morning excited but also nervous about what I had planned for the day. I needed to get the house to myself so I could make this phone call; my parents would tell the Alpha without hesitation if they caught wind of what I was about to say. I hated still living with my parents at almost 30, but I hadn't met my mate yet and I was sure as he** wasn't going to get a job or pay for my own sh*t. I lived with them more out of convenience than anything. I was also their only child still living at home and the youngest, so they gave me whatever I wanted.
