"After taking into cognizance the arguments, the witnesses and the exhibits both for and against the defense in the case of Eva Vs Mr. Sam, these are the verdict. This court finds Mr. Sam not guilty of Child s****l Abuse. This court finds Mr. Sam not guilty of Physical abuse and assault. This court finds Mr. Sam not guilty of r**e. Therefore, Mr. Sam is hereby discharged and acquitted of all charges against him. Court!!!" The sound of the gavel felt like a bombshell, as everyone rose to acknowledge the court's ruling. I couldn't believe what just happened. It felt like a massive glue held my buttocks firmly in my seat, no, it felt worse than that. I had this overwhelming feeling of being crushed by a massive weight or like Mr. Chris would explain to us in physics class, it felt like my seat was generating a mega gravitational pull on my buttocks.  Lifting my head, I stared glassily at the jury, the men and women who's decisions had sealed my fate. They had their heads bowed in shame, or bowed in the guilt of their greed, for none of them could look me in the eyes. The judge was no better, obviously, he was in on their game. How could everyone not see? How could they not understand my plight? Turning my glare to Mr. Sam, my heart broke, or what was left of it anyway, as he beamed with joy and pride amidst the throngs of congratulations being hailed at him from all corners, even from mum. As if being abused, both physically, psychologically and sexually, and r***d by Mr Sam for 10 years wasn't enough, I just got r***d by justice and no one cares. This could well be the last straw that's to break the camel's back.
