Emily’s POV:
Justin leans up against the wall to the side, almost as if he is zoned out while Elijah walks around the office. I remain on the desk and Hunter stands a few feet to my left. The tension in the room feels like a heavy rain cloud sits just over us.
“As far as we know, the two of you are Emily’s mates. But, we also know that two mates at the same time is extremely rare. So rare, that in all my years I have never heard of it happening. So, I did a little digging and mediating. Went to talk with my aunt, the moon goddess, and found out a couple of things.” Elijah paces the floor with his hands behind his back.
“Wait, you can speak to the moon goddess?” Hunter asks.
