Hunter’s POV
Justin’s pacing makes me uneasy. The hours felt like they would never pass until a nurse came walking up to us in the waiting room. She looks at us with kind eyes as she takes us back to Emily’s room.
“Please, let us know if you need anything Alpha.” She bows her head and walks away as we walk into the room.
“That is still so strange.” Justin says as he shuts the door behind him.
I duck my head to avoid a machine and walk around to the side of Emily’s bed. “Never gonna get used to that.” I say with a smile.
My hands feel suddenly cold as I go to reach for Emily’s hand but stop. The beating from the heart monitor machine increases a moment and Emily stirs. Her pale lips part as her chest rises and falls like she took a deep breath.
