Emily’s POV:
Hunter lies asleep behind me. His arms wrap around me like he expects me to just get up and leave. He slept like that all night long.
I lay awake, looking around the room. I couldn’t sleep. My mind kept thinking about Justin and how hurt he looked when I got out of the ice. I bite the inside of my cheek and rub my face on the pillow. Hunter stirs behind me and takes a deep breath. I feel his lips gently kiss my shoulder and I turn around.
“Good morning.” I whisper and shimmy down so that my face is equal to his.
“Hmm, good morning.” he said in a half asleep voice. A warm smile grows on his face as he draws out the syllables. He shifts forward and kisses me.
