Chapter 10: Sweet night

It's already 7 pm and my stomach is already rumbling.. I'm so hungryy! It's too risky to leave right now because my only way is in the woods and hungry creatures like me are surely lurking in that darkness..

The Rain started pouring, more darkness surrounding the sky.. I hug myself while sitting at the bench.

"Heavens.. Gosh!" I whispered. I cannot use my element for long shielding me from the rain because it'll drain my energy.. But I have no choice

I look at my phone, it's already dead.. I stare at the sky above me, no stars are visible now as the rain pours harder.

My energy slowly draining as i used all of my energy and powed to shield me from rain.. Now I can finally feel everu droplets covering me. Before I close my eyes I saw a darkness in a suit..

Lucien's Point of View

It's been three and a half hours since Aria, left and I couldn't bear to leave the site.

"Babe let's go home already, that secretary of yours maybe got eaten-" when Sarlie talks my whole body boils instantly.

I glared at her waiting impatiently inside my car, tapping the steering wheel I immediately grabbed Sarlia out of my car.

"Go home, you can walk." I commanded her, but she insist on staying and it's getting into my nerves "Don't wait me to call Solitaire and tell your father about this." I threaten her, she almost fell stumping stupidly

I left her alone and started walking where Aria went. Damn it stupid secretary.

Suddenly it started pouring. Where the hell could she be?

Every creature don't dare cross paths with me as I walk into a pure darkness. And there I saw Aria sitting at the bench hugging herself, soak in the rain like a lost cat. This sight of her made me flare in anger, I grabbed her and tried waking her up but she clearly used up all her energy.

I carried her all the way to my car and saw Sarlia still standing beside my car.

"Tsk, her again?!" she demanded but I ignored her. I put Aria on the passenger seat and was about to enter the driver seat when Sarlia grabbed my hand and kissed me

She no longer has an impact on me, that's for sure. I pushed her away and drive off. Every few minutes I keep glancing at Aria checking if she's doing ok.

"Solitaire. Pick up your sister at the site." I said on the phone after dialing her number, I didn't let her say another word and ended the call, I don't have time for any nonsense.

Solitaire's Point of View

I sigh after receiving a call from Lucien, what isn't she just move on??

As I come to the site I saw my sister soaked and sitting at the ground looking still shock from whatever happened before I come.

"What happened?" I asked shielding her from the rain with my umbrella

"I'll kill her." She whispered, I rolled my eyes

I grabbed her arm and push her slightly at the passenger seat before entering and started driving

"Sol my baby girl.." her voice sweet, but I know she'll just going to deceive me again like what she did when we are young.

"No. Lia, no." I said my voice hard

"I'm your sister!" she yells

"Lia stop!" I commanded

"Are you seriously choosing Aria over your own sister?!" she yells hitting the car board

I didn't speak, because she know already what I'm going to say.

"Please Sol.. Just this one and I promise you, I promise you I'll stop. Promise I'll stop.." she said calmly touching my arm

No.. I can't give in

"No, Lia. I already made up my mind."

"But Sol I promise you, if you help me on this one and I'll stop, I'll stop after I promise."

I glanced at her eyes for a moment before sighing.

Aria's Point of view

I woke up in the same bed I woke up before.. I jolted up and saw Mr. Vale beside me sitting while reading a book. I almost fell into the bed but he grabbed my waist with his other hand.

My eyes widen more in shock when I realized he's topless again, those bare chest.. Am I freaking dreaming about him? I tried slapping my face but it hurts

"Stupid." he whispered

I touch his chest it feels hard and soft at the same time.. Why does this dream feels so realistic..

"Are you enjoying yourself?" he grabbed my hand tightly

"ouch.." I whimpered "Even in dreams you're still grumpy." I whispered but he suddenly flicked my forehead

I rub my forehead and jump startled when I realize I wasn't dreaming.. "Why am I here.." I whispered as I stare at myself already wearing different clothes

"WHO CHANGED MY CLOTHES??" I scream panicking kicking in me

"I did." he casually said while still reading his book, I grabbed the book away ang force him to look at me.

"Why?! You pervert!"

"I already seen the whole you when you first sleep here." he said grabbing his book away from me

I face palm immediately, oh no no no!!

"Why am I even here?? Aren't your fiance going to get mad? She'll get angry with me again!" I said while looking at him trying to see his face

"Fiance? Ridiculous." His tone cold and sarcastic, but for the first time I saw him smirk a little

"yes! Sarlia told me she's your fiance and I'm stealing you away from her so she keep triggering me and fighting me like I was in a competition! I didn't even know why you let her investigate with us! Look at what happened earlier we didn't have any progress because all she do is cling and steal your attention she's infuriating!" I rant at him pouting

He stares at me and chuckle slightly, my eyes widen when I saw him chuckle! Is this a dream??????? Why is he chuckling??

"Are you jealous?" after my essay-like speech that's all he has to say?! Of course I am-

"NO!" I immediately answered but he chuckled lowly again.. She looks more attractive when he do this..

"She's not my fiance. We used to have a contract but I burned it when I learned all her schemes. She's not my mate too." he explained..

I think this is the first time Mr. Vale explained something this long..

I stare at him for awhile he looks so attractive with his glasses it fits him best.. I told myself on my first day at the company that I won't fall for a vampire but.. Why am I feeling like this?
