62nd Tick: Invasion

Thomas walked along the halls with Captain Wave, heading towards the main deck. On the way, Thomas asked, “How did that demon general get on the ship?” “I don’t know.” The captain replied firmly. “I was too naive and let my guard down for a moment. It will not happen again.” Thomas shrugged and the both of them looked at the sea beyond them. Thomas had thrown everyone back in time. The only ones with memories of what happened were Thomas, Captain Wave and probably the demon general. Captain Wave stared out and whispered, “Can you bring me onto that island alone?” “Why?” Captain Wave looked back at the ship, none of the sailors there after Captain Wave gave them permission to enjoy themselves. He explained, “Well, I can’t bear to lose my crew again, you know? Besides, I fight better on land than in the sea, so I’m actually at an advantage.” Thomas nodded, then looked him in the eyes. “I don’t mind, but I want to ask you something.” “Shoot.” “You claimed to have fought the demon general and almost killed her, then another one showed up. Let me ask you, are you confident that the other one will show up again?” Captain Wave scratched his chin and then the back of his neck. “I’m not too sure. I don’t have anything to base it on.” “Hold on, I’ll figure things out real quick.” Thomas assured. “Zeroth Hour.” Thomas walked to the room Rose was in. She laid there, staring at the ceiling. Thomas resumed time, Rose was barely surprised. She just looked at him and asked, “How was your day today?” “I want to ask you, on instinct, A or B?” Thomas asked. “A?” She replied. “Okay, got it.” Rose continued laying down on the bed after Thomas disappeared. She was quite bored being on the ship. Thomas returned beside Captain Wave and resumed time. He told him, “The other demon will show up.” “How would you know?” Captain Wave questioned. “I have my sources.” Thomas looked into the sea again, wondering what was hidden within the deep sea. A thought then entered his mind. “Which one was stronger?” Captain Wave raised an eyebrow. “The demon generals?” “Yes.” Captain Wave took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before replying, “I would say the second demon general. I would need my full strength to beat him.” Thomas looked into the sky. He had hoped that he would have been able to get information out of the demon generals about the Devil’s whereabouts, but his closest bet, Episode was nowhere to be found. Judging by the fact that Wish did not look for him after he reversed time, he guessed Episode had properly been killed. “I have a proposal.” Thomas said. “What is it?” We fight the demon generals, but we need to do something while we’re at it.” Thomas explained. “Do not kill them just yet. I need to talk with them.” “It is a kill or be killed situation against the demon generals, your suggestion is preposterous.” Thomas looked him in the eyes, staring him down. “I can bring you back anyways.” Thomas needed to threaten Captain Wave into accepting his request. The captain was a reasonable man with a sworn duty to protect humanity, there was no way that he would allow such a thing to threaten the safety of humans. Thomas disliked heroes, idealistic and full of themselves. He disliked them, but he needed Captain Wave’s power. “Do we have a an agreement?” Thomas asked. Captain Wave thought about it for a moment before shrugging. “Fine, I’ll accept your agreement.” “Great.” Thomas looked forward and said, “First Hour.” Their surroundings changed and they were on a beach. Captain Wave stood on the sand, confused. Around them, demons stood on the stand, staring at them, confused. Thomas calmly walked out of the group, waving backwards. “Okay, good luck with that. I believe in you.” “Damn!” Thomas heard the captain say. Thomas continued walking through the forest, demons running towards the beach not too far away. He had left Captain Wave behind for a reason and one reason only. The female demon they had met on the ship was strong, but nowhere near as strong as Episode was. In fact, she had almost lost to Captain Wave. It would have been fine if she was alone, but there was the presence of another demon, a second demon general. That second general concerned Thomas. Of unknown ability, of unknown strength. Captain Wave did not seem to have been able to properly recall what the other demon was capable of, only that the demon was strong. Thomas needed Captain Wave at peak condition fighting the second demon, he was going to handle the first. Thomas walked into a town, rather, a camp of sorts. Demons wearing armour and carrying weapons ran out of it and around. Thomas carefully snuck around them, approaching the structure in the middle of the camp, a castle, much smaller than Episode’s, but still a castle. “Zeroth Hour.” Time paused as he waltzed up to the castle, wondering how he was going to get past the high walls. He sighed and touched the wall. “First Hour.” The wall disintegrated, leaving a wide open path for Thomas to walk through. He stepped over the pile of dust and into the castle yard. “Second Hour.” The wall repaired itself as Thomas walked, humming a small tune. He found a way into the actual castle and started walking around, trying to find the demon general. There seemed to be no one around, which was weird. Captain Wave should have alarmed the army, not the demon general herself. Unless... the demon general had a personal grudge against Captain Wave after their last encounter. Faced with countless numbers of demon soldiers, a demon general and potentially another general, there was no way Captain Wave stood a chance. Thomas resumed time, ready to turn back time. “Second H-” He felt pain on his jaw as his body was sent flying into the wall to his right. Thomas laid there, feeling several broken bones and even a skull fracture. He laid there, looking as the female demon walked out from her hiding spot behind the wall. She had just broken through the wall, and her realisation was barely any time at all. Thomas watched as she approached him, unable to move.
