1019 Words
Episode Watched as arrows were shot, the arrows flying high before falling in his direction. He looked up, the darkness surrounding him, the arrows simply being absorbed. Episode ran out of the darkness and ran at the demon army, scowling. He jumped into the river and swam deep before he shot out of it, jumping on the leader of the army. He grabbed the larger demon by the neck, the darkness expanding behind him. He scowled, bearing his teeth. He was instantly knocked aside by the demon using the back of his sword. Episode rolled on the ground and stood up again, crouching on all fours. He glared at the nearby demons and hissed, jumping at them. The darkness spread, consuming a few of them. Episode had taken down a few before being knocked aside again. He looked in the direction of the leader. An arrow dug itself into his shoulder, too fast for the darkness to react. Episode pulled it out and looked around more. A demon with a spear stabbed the ground, the earth crumbling beneath him and trapping him in rubble. Episode struggled, the darkness consuming the ground. Another demon walked up to him, his hand glowing, Episode was lit on fire. He screamed in pain, covering his face and hitting the ground before running for the river. An arrow hit his back and he fell. He hit the ground in pain, screaming and thrashing around violently. The pain he felt was nothing like before, it was unbearable. Somewhere in the distance, words floated in the air and Episode was constructed in place, unable to enter the water while ablaze. He struggled, the darkness trying to consume the curse. He forcefully tried to pull himself out, but nothing worked. He screamed again, the darkness sharpening and slashing wildly. Like a whip, it dug into the ground, sliced demons in half and shredded the sky. One demon walked up to him and touched him. Episode saw as the demon looked at him with lifeless eyes. His body started to twist, he felt like he was going to die. However, the darkness came in contact with the demon, and Episode was fine. The darkness then consumed the demon. Episode finally broke free, the darkness consuming the curse. He jumped into the river and went with the flow, trying to get away. However, a large hand grabbed the back of his head, pushing him down. Episode, shocked, let out a breath of air. He struggled, losing more air. The darkness tried to consume the demon, but was knocked aside. Episode’s consciousness started to fade, he was losing. Desperation, desperation to survive, the driving force for Episode. The darkness lifted the water up, allowing him to breathe. He dug his fingers into the large demon’s arm and pulled him down with Episode. As expected, it did not work, so Episode bared his teeth and dug his teeth into the demon’s arm. He was thrown into the ground with enough force to send him half a meter into the mud. Episode watched as the demon jumped, stomping on him. Episode, unable to dodge, took the blow, his ribs breaking. He scowled and swiped at the demon, the darkness shredding the demon’s face, nothing else. The demon, bleeding heavily, stepped on Episode’s torso and grabbed his head, trying to tear him in half. Behind Episode, the darkness expanded, swallowing the both of them at once. The smaller demon plopped onto the ground, clutching his chest and scowling. The darkness disappeared, nothing left behind. He looked up at the army and hissed, trying to run towards them. There was a reason why his darkness was odd. And that it was because it consumed. His darkness became more potent and powerful with every soul he consumed, his darkness could only get stronger. He staggered and howled. He muttered, “AaaVa...” The darkness wrapped around him, and a few figures appeared. The army stepped back, unsure. Only the generals of the military stepped forward. They were faced with those that had been consumed, including their leading commander. Eva sat some distance away. They were all pitch black, all under Episode’s control. The army clashed, and his dark army was unable to be felled. There was no real way for demons to take down darkness without light, and only Angels had that ability. Every time an enemy demon was taken down, they were consumed and became part of Episode’s army. He stood there, watching in awe as his dark army annihilated the demon military. When everything was done, the darkness returned to him. He stared at the sky, hundreds of thousands of souls in his pocket. He had single handedly taken down the demon military, the greatest force in Hell. Episode, from then, was known as the strongest demon to ever live. Just from that one fear, the original demons dared not approach him any longer. He lived in peace at his shack, the soul of Eva teaching him the demon language. Slowly, but surely, time progressed. Episode became fluently in the language at the age of fifty, the original demons had passed away not too long later. New heads of the seven great families took their place and ruled over the demon realm. And in the fifty kilometre radius of Episode’s shack, not a single other demon dared approach him. Episode, wanting to improve his life, had his shadow soldiers start building a castle for him. He liked the idea of having a home, so he put in effort into designing it. When it was done, the other demons saw it and dubbed it the ‘f*******n tower’. At the age of fifty-five, he got a visitor. Standing much taller than him and looking down on him, stood a demon. Long white hair, a muscular build, red eyes that condescended him. The demon wore loose light green robes that revealed his chest, demons letters tattooed across it. The demon looked down on him, Episode stood before him. Scowling, Episode was ready for any attack, he was ready to fight with any demon. It had been years, he had gotten considerably stronger. With the darkness swirling behind him, Episode was ready for battle.
