77th Tick: Gemini 8

They hijacked a boat and rowed out into the sea. Gira did not know the location, but they took a chance. They followed their feelings, trusting that their instincts alone could bring them back to their origins. It was a rough two years, but the moment they stepped onto the soft sand, they felt it. They were home. Gira walked forward, followed by Mini. They looked around desperately before they found it. A grave, with words written on it. Gira gestured for Mini to follow what he did. He knelt down, followed by Mini. He bowed while kneeling, his head almost touching the ground, tears dripping. “We’re home, mother.” Gira cried. They cleaned up the place as best they could and started building a shelter. They may not be able to live with the humans, they may be unable to survive in Hell, but they still had a home. Their plan was to live on that island until the end. They could call the island home even though they had only lived there for about a few weeks at most as infants. They called it home because they would always be with their mother. They lived there for another few years, they honestly just lived life without a goal. At least, until they got a visitor. They were eighteen at the time when someone appeared. Gira saw him and stood in front of his sister, wary. It was another demon. Similar to them, he had long white hair and ran skin, though his skin was darker. He wore loose green robes and his eyes looked at them with coldness. Gira felt fear, that demon was not normal. “You two...” He started. “What do you want with us?” Gira snarled. The demon looked around. “This is an interesting place...” “Don’t avoid the question!” Gira demanded. The demon put his hand up, sighing. “I shall get to the point then.” He pointed at the both of them. “I would like the both of you to become part of my generals.” There was a pause. “Generals?” Gira asked, suspicious of the other demon’s actions. The demon was speaking in the human tongue, so the twins were able to understand. He explained, “I have ten generals, each of exceptional abilities as individuals. I will give them an army, and they would be allowed to wage war freely when the time for war comes.” “And why would you need us?” The demon started pacing around, looking around. His poise unnerved Gira, as if he was not even in the slightest concerned whether Gira could attack. The demon said, “My previous generals have mostly died except for two. Well, one is bound to die soon. I am rebuilding my demon generals, so I would like you two to be part of them.” “Why would we?” The demon looked Gira in the eyes. “I can give you an army. You think you can live here comfortably for the rest of your lives? For the next two hundred years? Someone, some human will find his way here and you and your sister will be killed, just like your mother. With an army, you will be protected to an extent, but your personal ability still places first.” Gira hesitated, unsure. He did not trust the demon, and was afraid he would make the wrong decision. He asked, “Who are you?” “Fourth of Four Myths.” The demons introduced himself. “TruthDevil.” Gira took a step back, feeling the pressure coming from the Devil. He gritted his teeth. “Why us? Not any other demons?” “Because you know the human world.” The Devil said. “And you have connections with the strongest human.” “The strongest human? Who’s that?” Gira asked, unconvinced. “Never heard of him.” “In time, you will know.” The Devil said. Mini tugged Gira’s sleeve and pointed at the Devil before nodding. Gira hesitated, but he knew what she was thinking. If a war was to spread across the human world, it was much better for them to be strong and ready for anything. An army could protect them from humans with ill-intent. Gira swallowed and told the Devil, “Fine, we’ll accept the position.” “Then both of you will be demon generals, I presume?” The Devil asked. “No. My sister will be the demon general.” Gira said. “We will share one spot, nothing more.” The Devil nodded before turning away. Words floated in the air and attached itself to the twins. The Devil said something in the demon tongue, and the twins were able to understand. “Until next time, on the fated day.” They received an army, as promised. To get stronger, Gira opened the package and handed Mini the daggers his adoptive father had given him. She practiced with it, finding out her power to produce and control red slashes. They were different from the other generals at the time. Other than Episode, they were the only general to not take an aggressive stance. They lived on their island with their army. They were a different army, they had more fun than actual fighting. So when Gira picked up signs of an approaching ship, Mini insisted to confront it. He relented, letting her board the ship via his mirrors. She had a battle with Captain Wave, one of humanity’s greatest heroes. She fought in unfamiliar grounds and had not completely gotten used to her powers yet. It was irony. She had enjoyed her time with the army, and she wanted to protect those moments, so she threw herself into battle. Their initial goal for having an army was to protect themselves, but how the tables have turned. Mini fought hard and lost, so Gira had to step in, completely destroying their ship before returning to the island. They were the twin demon generals. They were not that well known. They were quite unknown, for the demons and humans. They were covered with much mystery that was never unveiled. They were the twins, together, they were virtually invincible. Such was the demon generals. Such was the twins. Such was Gemini.
