Gira could tell what Rose’s aim was, so he set up his defence in advance when approaching her. Rose concentrated, her eyes straining as d he tried to read Gira’s mind. Gira had set up to reflect any form of attack, whether physical or psychological. So Rose’s mind reading was reflected back at her. Rose, for a moment, was frozen in place. She did not expect to end up reading her own mind as a result, and Gira was maki his way towards her, closing the distance quite quickly.
