42nd Tick: Immortal Episode 2

1019 Words
It was a meeting among the original demons, the first and most respected demons of the demon realm, no, all of Hell. They sat around a round table, far and wide. At the lead was the Devil himself, who was usually uninvolved with most of their activities. It was the day after the young demon had thrown off the military demon. They were discussing on what to do with that demon, what kind of punishments should they imply? The demon was a sore, nothing screamed contradiction more than he did. “We should capture him and kill him.” One of them suggested. “No! He attacked one of my men! We need to slowly t*****e him before killing him!” Another suggested. The Devil sat there, listening to whatever the original demons were saying. He was tall, well built and wore robes. He had dark skin and red eyes, along with sharp teeth. Horns protruded from his forehead, and he had long white hair. His robes were loose, revealing part of his chest, words in the demon language tattooed across his chest. To his side, leaning against the side of his throne, was a glistening spear. It was silver and casted a dangerous glow. The Devil, after listening to them for an hour, let out an audible yawn. Every demon in the room were silenced, none of them daring to speak. The Devil looked around and made sure everyone was silent before saying slowly, “Do you all only ever talk?” There was no response. “You are demons.” The Devil said. “Where is your pride, your passion? Why do you need to discuss on what to do with a single demon? Kill him, throw him in oil, burn him on a stake, skin him, eat him, banish him, dismember him, cripple him, change him, t*****e him. I do not care for such trivial matters, so do not waste my time by bringing something like this up again.” The Devil stood, none of the original demons able to react. He picked his spear up, slicing through the air. His spear, the spear that pierces all, slashed through the barriers of dimension. He had ripped through space itself, stepping through, the rip closing after him. The conference room was silent for a few minutes before someone asked, “What should we do?” “Anything we want.” The Devil had created the child, but there was nothing else to it. A grand plan, a secret weapon, there was no use for the young demon. The Devil had only made him for the sake of it since he felt that the original demons were running low. Other than that, the Devil could care less about who or what that demon was. The young demon was labeled by the original demons a entity to be captured alive or eliminated on the spot. It was the first time in history that a demon was blacklisted by the original demons. The young demon was unaware, crouching in the darkness of his shack and shivering. A demon that barely knew the language, not to mention the curses. He was as defenceless as a demon could get, other than the one thing that kept him alive. He was determined to survive, he did not care what pain he needed to go through as long as he could see the next day. That demon, that disgrace, was dubbed ‘Episode’ by the original demons. The reason for that was because he was like a short phase, he existed, but his existence was soon to end. That day, Episode was truly plunged into Hell in Hell. Luckily, no one really knew where he lived, in their eyes, he was just a demon that appeared and disappeared. And that same demon was hiding in his house, not daring to leave after what that military demon had done to him. He crouched in the darkness, the darkness consoled him. A few days later, no demon had forgotten him, and a certain group had chances upon his shack. They were just out on patrol, nothing else to it when they saw the shack. “You reckon there’s some booze in there?” It was the five military demons again. The one who had pinned Episode down, their leader, was in front. They had thought the shack was used by some other demons to store belongings or alcohol. They could take it and pin the blame on Episode anyways. The start of Episode’s legend, the story passed down from generation to generation of demons. About the demon who fought the entirety of Hell to a standstill. There, in the shack, crouched like a feral beast, a pair of bright red eyes flared at them. There was a mix of desperation, fear and determination on his face. The demon was painfully thin, he looked like he only had skin and bones. Episode bared his teeth, snarling at them. The leader of the military demons opened his mouth to speak, but in that instant, the darkness extended, hitting him in the face. The larger demon struggled, trying to pry the darkness from his face as he suffocated. The darkness expanded, and closed, the demon no longer there. Episode did not give much thought towards it, he stood up and ran at the nearest military demon who was still frozen in shock. He tackled the much larger demon to the ground and started scratching at his throat. The demon grabbed Episode’s hands to stop him, so Episode used his teeth, sinking his row of sharp teeth into his throat, killing the demon. He was kicked aside, the other demons broken out of their shock. Episode rolled on the ground and snarled again, warning them not to approach him. “Just like a beast.” One of them commented. That was the last recount along the five military demons, their last words. Episode crouched over the dead body of the demon he had bit in the throat. The other demons had been swallowed by the darkness. He bared his teeth, feeling such hunger, it was simply unbearable. That same day he killed five demons, he committed the most taboo sin. He ate the demon, chewed him up, spat out some parts. He would be seen doing so by a few demons who passed by.
