I must have drifted off to sleep, because the next thing I know I feel a hand on my face. I open my eyes and look into Sean's bright blue eyes. I pick my head up from the bed and smile at him.
"How do you feel, Sean?"
"I little tired, but nothing hurts."
"They probably gave you something for the pain."
"Oh, good. Your awake." Doctor Krane smiled as he walked in. "Surgery went very well Sean, I think you'll make a full recovery. You will have to stay off that knee for a while and with some physical therapy you'll be fine."
Sean didn't say anything, but he gave the doctor a small smile.
"Thank you again, Doctor Krane." He nodded and left.
"How long do I have to stay here?" He looked a little nervous.
"The doctor wants to make a decision tomorrow. If your healing well, then I can take you home tomorrow or the next day."
"You're taking me to your home?" He looked at me with wide eyes.
"Well, I was planning to. Is that aright with you?"
He thinks for a minute, "Will you be my new mom?"
"I can never replace the woman who brought you into this world. However, if it's okay with you, I would like to be your mom starting today."
My boy was crying and reaching to me for a hug. I stood up and sat next to him so I could pull him into my arms. We stayed that way until Abrham brought us our spaghetti dinner. The hospital bed had a tray like structure attached to it so I moved it so our food could be set on it.
Sean seemed pleasantly surprised to see spaghetti and meatballs. As soon as his plate was set in front of him, he dug in.
"Whoa, Sean. Eat slower, you might get sick if you eat to quickly." He listened to me and slowed down. "I'm glad that you like it." I smiled.
"Adeera, do you need me to bring you anything?"
"Could you bring me my pillow?"
"Sure, be right back." He left and I began to eat with Sean.
Austin came in then, "Timothy is very grateful to you for finding his brother."
"Thanks, Austin. I want two rooms prepared for him and Terrance, but I don't want Timothy released until after I speak with the pack representative. I don't need him making a scene."
"I'll take care of the rooms. Sean, how are you feeling?"
"Fine, sir." He spoke quietly and had his neck barred to Austin.
I lift his chin, "Honey, you can look up when you speak."
"Okay." He went back to eating.
Abrham arrived with my pillow and a bag, "I grabbed you some clothes that will be more comfortable to sleep in too."
I hugged him and Austin, "Thank you guys for being so thoughtful." I turned back to Abrham, "When will Terence be arriving?"
"They should be arriving about noon tomorrow."
I nod, "Alright then. Let's rest up tonight, tomorrow may prove to be a long day. In the morning Austin, would you bring over a pair of pajamas and clothes for Sean?"
"Sure thing." They left and I went back to Sean. We finished eating and then I got a movie started on the tv that we could watch. He wanted me to sit on the bed with him, so I did. Neither of us made it through the whole movie before falling asleep.
The next morning, I was woken up by a nurse who came to check on Sean. She smiled and nodded that everything was fine. Austin came soon after the nurse left with Sean's clothes and some breakfast. The smell of food woke my boy up.
"I'm going to clean up in the bathroom, I'll be right back." Both Austin and Sean nodded so I did what I needed and then went back out. Doctor Krane came in after another hour and checked Sean's knee.
"It's healing nicely, I think that if you want to take him home that would be fine. He will need to come back tomorrow so I can check him over again."
"Thank you doctor. Sean, is it okay if Austin helps you dress while I go take care of your discharge papers?" He nods so I go and fill out the paperwork. When we're ready to leave I pick Sean up. He is wide eyed as we walk to the mansion. I bring him to the salon on the first floor and have them wash his hair. They also give him a little trim. Turns out, he has light brown hair.
When they're done, I take him to the room across from mine. I lay him on the bed and show him how to watch movies. I mind linked Abrham to get Sean a phone so that if he needed me, he would be able to reach me. I also mind link Camilla and Sheila, I want them to check on Sean from time to time.
"Sean, this is Camilla and this is Sheila. They are going to be lookin in on you from time to time today. I'll also be checking on you, but I have some work to take care so these ladies are going to help out. Okay?"
"Okay."
"Good, thank you guys. I really appreciate this."
"Honey, we are here to help you. We're glad to look after your son." Camilla says and Sheila gives me a wink.
"Alright guys, I'll see you later. If you need anything, let me know." They nodded and the ladies focused on Sean.
I walked to my office and started on work. Austin and Abrham came in and out working and updating me. At noon, I get a mind link that the Wild Moon Pack had arrived. I had Abrham and Austin meet them and bring everyone to my office.
Knock, knock.
"Come in." I stood, not certain as to what kind of people I was about to deal with.
Abrham opened the door and a body was tossed inside. Two strange men walked in with Austin coming in last. I walked over to the man on the ground, he was recently beaten and was now unconscious.
"Austin, get this man to the hospital."
"Yes, my Queen." Austin put the man on his shoulder and left. I turned back to the others in the room waiting for them to introduce themselves. After a moment of silence, I spoke. "Introduce yourselves."
Both men had to be about my age. The one with blonde hair spoke first, "I am Justin Lee, son of Alpha Brian Lee. This is Jerrod Berry, He will be my Beta."
I motion for them to sit and they do. "Tell me about the black brothers."
Young Alpha Lee speaks, "They were part of a plot to destroy our pack."
Alex: Talkative much.
I mentally agreed that they we're not cooperating to the best of their ability.
"What is your proof?" I look Young Alpha Lee in the eye, slowly pushing out some power. He does the same, but starts to sweat. I increase the amount of power I let out, making him and his Beta submit.
"The timing was proof enough. To many warriors died that day."
"That is not proof, that is a scapegoat."
"How dare you! You weren't there!" Young Alpha Lee yells at.
I release all my power and everyone is brought to their knees. "I am your Alpha Queen! You will not disrespect me!" I waited a few more minutes and reigned in some of my power. "Did you capture any rogues that day?"
"No, they were all killed."
I mentally rolled my eyes. "I will be doing my own investigation. You may leave. If I need you, we'll let you know."
They grudgingly got up and left.
I look and Abrham and just shake my head. We walk back to the hospital and find Austin. The doctor wasn't done with Terence yet so I send Abrham to go get Timothy.
The four of us wait another hour before the doctor comes out. "I think he is going to be alright, but his recovery will take longer than normal. Terence and his wolf are severely malnourished and has been beaten many times over the years. He's in a comma right now. I'm not sure when he will wake up."
Timothy plops down and cries. "I should have gone back for him!"
I let out my comforting aura, "Timothy, you didn't know. The doctor says he will be okay. Why don't you go sit with him. Talk to him so that he knows you're there. You're twin bond may also help him heal."
He nods and follows a nurse to the correct room.
