The Alpha Queen

Chapter 15

The next morning I was up early and in my office making a list of what I wanted to get done today. I needed to call Beatrice, get the coronation on track, call an alpha meeting, and figure out who our allies are in the supernatural world.

I'm delegating the coronation details to Camilla and Sheila, but it's a little early to bring them into  my office. I wrote up a letter to go out to my alphas, we would have a meeting on Saturday afternoon. I made a not to have Austin spread the word that I want a pack meeting tonight and fill them in. Abrham and Austin still haven't made an appearance, so I begin on regular pack work. 

My dad set the kingdom up well financially, but as I was rechecking numbers it looked as though the last year hadn't done well with his company. I'm going to have to change something or find a new  way to bring in income. Our Royal Pack is for the most part self sufficient. We grow our own food and only get a few things from the human stores. However, I am responsible to help other packs survive, not just the one I live in. 

I make some notes and move on. Soon Abrham and Austin come in and we catch up on anything that went on over the weekend and my list for the day. When the boys leave I have their moms come in and ask them to begin working on Walter's coronation. They were really excited and had no problems taking the reigns. 

I decided to call Beatrice and she said that we could come over this afternoon for a meeting and stay for dinner. I agreed, but we wouldn't be able to stay for dinner due to the pack meeting that I had scheduled for tonight. I'm glad that those meetings are always done after dark. 

Me: Hun, can you come to my office?

Walter: On my way.

I worked on a letter to my alphas until my mate came in. He walked in and came over to me. I stood up and he took me in his arms. 

"You were gone when I woke up."

"I was awake early and wanted to get a head start on the day." I leaned up and kissed him.

He brought a hand up to my neck and held me where he wanted me and used his other arm to pull me closer. We were breathing hard when we pulled apart. I smile a bit shyly and he just grins. 

"So, I've scheduled a pack meeting for this evening and Beatrice says that we can come over for the afternoon to meet with her and Cameron. Does that work for you?"

"That sounds good, I'll drop by Sean and his tutor to let them know that Sean needs to end early today." 

I smiled at him, I'm so thankful for him. 

He must have caught that thought because he smiled and said, "Me too, my angel. Me too."

"Oh! You need an office don't you?"

"Actually that would be really helpful." 

I walked him over to the office next to mine. "This was supposed to be for my mother, but she never used it. You can redecorate it however you'd like, Abrham and Austin can help you move things in and out." 

"Thank you, this is a great space for me."

He kisses me again, promising more at a later time. I go back to my office and work until Sean comes running in.

"Mom, it's time to go!" 

I laugh at his eagerness, "Alright, my sweet boy. I need about ten minutes before we can leave, why don't you see if you can sweet talk one of the omegas to pack us some lunch for the road." I wink at him and laugh again as he runs back out. 

I have Abrham and Austin come in to my office and we debrief. The meeting is all set for tonight, plans for Friday is going well, the warriors are ready for our trip this afternoon. I hand Abrham the letters that need to be delivered to the various packs. I also get Austin to check out my father's company and ask some questions about how well things are or are not going for them. 

I make my way down and out to the front of the mansion. Walter had told me that there were three hummers ready and waiting for us out front. Walter, Sean, and I would be in the middle hummer with two guards and the hummer in front of and behind us, each held four guards. 

I wouldn't normally have so many guards, but I want to be sure that Sean is well protected. We eat our lunch in the car and within an hour and a half we are pulling up to the centaur pack. We get out and I have only two guards for Sean to come inside with us. The others waited just outside the border and helped with their patrol. Beatrice and Andrew were waiting for us and the boys rushed off after we said our hellos. 

The three of us laughed and followed, Beatrice to where we would have our meeting. 

Once we were settled, King Cameron spoke, "I apologize for us not speaking about this matter during our previous visit." 

"No apologies are necessary, besides I am the one who was distracted. I wish we came with good news, but unfortunately we have not." Cameron and Beatrice's faces turned concerned. I motioned for Walter to take over. 

"You know that I am an angel, yes?" They nod in response, but stay quiet. "One of the high angels came to me with information of an unknown demon putting together an army. I do not know how he came to know this information, but when I looked into this information it proved true. Across the globe there have been a greater number of supernaturals allowing evil to take them. I have no proof, but I think that there are many angels who are being tempted as well. From what I have gathered, this unknown demon wants to rule over all of the species. Considering what we know about demons, they probably want to destroy the humans."

He stopped, allowing the others to digest this information. 

'Will the angels fight?" Cameron asked.

"I don't know. I can't keep the angels from being tempted and I'm only a mid level warrior angel."

"You are the first to be mated with a supernatural, are you not?"

"I believe so. I have had no contact with the high angel I mentioned, so I do not know if I will be accepted back into our realm."

Cameron stays quiet, but starts to pace. After ten minutes, he speaks. "You must have a plan if you are here."

I nod, but motion for Walter to continue. 

"We need to reach out to all of the supernatural leaders. They need to know this information and we need to know who will fight with us. All rivalry will have to be put aside. If we fight one another and not unite in defeating the demons, we will surly loose. Adeera is going to work on uniting the wolf packs, I will begin putting feelers out and see who is receptive to meeting with us. We are hoping that you will help in spreading the word." 

Cameron continues pacing, but nods. "We will definitely help spread the word and you can count on my people to fight. We are allies with the pixies and elves, I am sure that they will also help. It would be helpful if we could have a meeting with all the leaders, but that creates to large of a target." 

We nod in agreement. "If your allies would like to speak to me directly, I would very much like to meet them and create a bond with them. I am not new to this realm, but I have not met many of our races." 

Cameron nods and we continue to talk and the males make plans for visiting their allies. Overall, the visit went as well as we could have possibly hoped. When we collect Sean, he has a different air about him. Almost like determination. He says that he had a good time with Andrew and some of the other centaurs and that nothing was wrong. I let it go, for now.
