Suddenly, Kayla woke up with scream. Helen jumped to her feet with a gun in her hand. She ran to Kayla's side. The girl looked at Kayla panicking in a pool of sweat. “Breathe!” Helen ordered as she put her gun away. She grabbed hold of Kayla by the arms. Kayla took a deep breath and choked. She breathed again and without coughing. Her heart was racing, interrupting her steady breathing rhythm. “I thought someone broke in.” Helen grunted, displeased at Kayla waking her at this late hour.
