“Sadina!” Kayla called as she and Marion rang her doorbell. They waited a while at Sadina’s front door. There wasn’t a response from the inside.
“That’s not like her.” Marion said to Kayla, concerned.
“I’mma try her cell.” Kayla explained as she took out her cell phone and dialed Sadina’s number.
“Hello?” Sadina’s frightened voice on the other end.
“Sadina what’s the matter?” Kayla leaned forward in alarm at hearing Sadina’s tone.
“I started hearing gunfire and explosions about a half an hour before you got here!” Sadina rushed in explaining. “I was so afraid, I ran and hid downstairs.”
“Calm down, Sadina!” Kayla said calmly. “We’re here now. Just open the door!”
