  SUZAN'S POV   The sharp smell of antiseptic filled my nose as I followed the nurse down the long hallway. My shoes squeaked softly against the clean hospital floors, each step heightening my nerves.   "Here we are," she said, stopping in front of a ward door.   "Thank you," I whispered.   She gave me a small nod and walked away, her white coat swishing gently behind her.   I took a deep breath, steadying myself.
