"How does it taste?"
I looked up from my bowl of ice cream, my attention shifting to Anthony. But he wasn't looking at me—his focus was entirely on Julian, who was happily digging into his treat.
"This is the best chocolate ice cream ever!" Julian exclaimed, his grin wide and full of pure joy.
I couldn't help but smile at his excitement.
Anthony chuckled before turning his gaze toward me. "What?" I asked, blinking at him.
He tilted his head slightly, a smirk playing on his lips. "How does it taste?" he asked again.
For a moment, I almost giggled. Almost.
He was being sweet—too sweet. It was unsettling, considering the history we shared.
"I agree with Jules since we got the exact same thing," I said, scooping another spoonful into my mouth.
