Chapter Eleven

"Elmira's getting weirder and weirder." Redina and Smith were in their rooms, having their breakfast in their Balcony, when Redina suddenly opened up the topic about Elmira. "Why do you say so?" Smith asked, before he drank his tea, and put it back on the table after, to get bread. "She's saying that she's the Empress." Smith nearly choked on the bread he had swallowed fast, and drank his tea to help him recover. "She already said that twice. I'm nearly falling for her jokes." She said calmly, and drank her coffee as she doesn't like tea. "You don't believe her, do you?" Smith said, eyeing her. "Why would I believe her? If she's the Empress, how did Harzenia properly work without her? The new-born Hazzles won't ever get any Qarath if she's not in Emerald, you know. And, with her laziness, I doubt it. The Empress is the busiest person in this world, how could she even handle that?" "You have a point." Smith agreed, considering the reasons Redina had pointed out. "Don't tell me, she's also telling you that?" Smith did not answer, but Redina considered that as a Yes. "And you believe her?" Redina said, wide-eyed. She couldn't even believe that Smith, who was a shy old-man, had believed a single lie of their granddaughter. "Yes. There's nothing wrong if I believe it or not." He said, keeping his calmness. Redina shrugged her head. "You must be really old, that's why you fell for that." She said, saying it without a break, in her very natural way of dissing her husband. Elmira, on the other hand, had decided to go and see the King and the Queen to inform them with something. "I'll go to the Academy." Elmira said, informing them, who are sitting in their throne, reviewing a lot of reports in front of them, when Elmira suddenly showed up beside them and that was the first thing she had said. "For what?" The Queen said, putting the papers she was holding back to the table. The table was filled with plenty of papers that Elmira thinks that they even haven't read yet. "I'm doubting your son. I'll be there to check if he's really investigating." She said, getting a piece of paper from the table, to read it. "Why? You can just watch him here with your Qarath, right?" She said, bringing back her attention to the paper she was holding earlier. "I can. But I can't. It's… complicated." She said and picked up another paper, and another, reading it fastly with her eyes. "What are these?" Elmira pointed out the pile of papers on the table in front of the two which she's been curious about, ever since she appeared at their backs. "These are reports from different places in Harzenia. And we're still sorting it out by categories." The King answered her, still busy with checking each piece of paper. "And those are?" She pointed to the stock of papers behind them. "And those were already sorted out, but still not reviewed." He said, sighing. They're really busy with a lot of paperworks to be done, without anyone helping them. "Oh. I see. So, when do you think you'll finish at this rate?" Elmira said, teasing the both of them with a mountain of paperworks to be done. "I'll help you in sorting out." She said, and suddenly clapped her hands twice from where she was. "No nee-" Before the Queen even finishes her words, papers come flying from everywhere in their office. Both of them stood up and looked for what was happening with the papers moving on their own, piling up on the floor. Elmira's just enjoying watching the papers, sorting out themselves. Everything is a mess, but after ten minutes of watching, and sorting the papers out, Elmira clapped again twice, to get the papers on the floor and put them on the table. The two were just watching what Elmira's doing using her Qarath, the whole time. "Now, it's all sorted out. You only need to review them." She said with a radiant smile, really proud of what she has done. "Thanks? But what are you holding?" The Queen asked, looking at her hands, holding a piece of paper. "Oh, this." She walked towards them and put the paper in front of both of them. "This is the summary of all these papers. I have read them all when I was sorting them out, and made a summary for the both of you." She said, binding the pile of papers she had sorted out with her Qarath, and putting it on the shelf with names of the Reports. "Listed there were your people's concerns. Like shortage of water, and food supplies, others were requesting for another protection for their place, others were about their supplies that didn't reach their market, and… there's an unknown disease in Tarfelli that has killed many lives already." She said, without stopping. It came out naturally like it doesn't concern her much, like it's just normal for her to have that kind of problem. "A disease?" The King said, clarifying what he had heard from her. She had stated a lot, but only the disease remained on his mind. "Yes, and it's dangerous. And I think you need to reopen your gates now." She said walking through the window of their wide office to get sunlight from outside. "You have a lot of problems, and you can't just do it by yourselves alone. Look at how you're having the hardest time of your lives just sorting out the reports." She said, getting her morning sunlight. "You need to see the Governors of the five clusters of Harzenia to help you two, with these bunch of reports." She said, facing them. "Stop worrying about the Palace and your safety, as I'm already here. Just open The Palace for the Governors to help you, because this place won't work to its full capability if you won't seek help. Asking for help isn't degrading, Hazzles. " She said, shrugging her head. She had known the reason why they had closed the gates of the Palace and stopped the train going in and out of it, as they were scared that they'll be killed by Gemus or someone from the outside. They said that the Royalty's safety must always be the priority. "Anyways, I need to get going. I've helped you here, so I'll now proceed with my business." She smiled. "Bye." She disappeared in front of them and they just both looked at each other, in shock of what had happened, and started to get the work done. Elmira arrived on the grounds of the Academy, looking at her surroundings. It was not the first time she had entered the Academy, as she had been here on the very first day of their arrival in Harzenia, the day she encountered her. There were Hazzles all around the place, looking at her, many had seen her appear from nowhere, and others were running away from her to save their lives, thinking that she was there to get their Qaraths away. Elmira didn't mind how they're looking at her, and she started walking. Everyone in front of her was going out of her way as they were all afraid to be in contact with her. She was like a deadly disease that they wouldn’t want to acquire. Elmira stopped when a Hazzle had stopped in front of her, having eye contact with her. “This is the very first time in my twenty five years of Existence to see a pretty lady like you.” The guy said, flirting and acting cool in front of her. “I’m Gabby, and you are?” He presented his hands in front of Elmira to shake hands. “I am Amira.” She said, using her name that she’s using just outside her Castle in Emerald. She accepted his hands and had contact with the Hazzle. Elmira grinned the moment she had felt the Hazzle trying to get her Qarath. She didn’t withdraw her hands and pulled closer towards him. “Is this how you rob a Qarath?” She whispered in his ears that left him in shock. He tried to withdraw his hands but Elmira didn’t let him to. “Why? Just get my Qarath... I have a lot.” She grinned, pulling away from him but still holding his hands. “Who are you?” He’s struggling to remove his hands from her grip, as Elmira doesn’t want to let go. “Let me go.” “Why? This is what you wanted right?” Elmira’s teasing him as this was all his plan, but then he wanted to step back. “And because I was holding you now, let me give you the consequence of your actions.” A green light had flushed in between their hands, just like how Elmira had cursed the Hazzle in the Train Station. Elmira had given him a curse just like the curse that she had given from that Hazzle in the Station. She was grinning all the time he was putting him a curse that he will be carrying throughout his life. After wrapping the curse, Elmira let go of his hands. “Learn your lesson.” She said, looking directly at his eyes. The Hazzle stormed out of her sight the moment she had let his hands go. “Now, where’s that stupid Alexis.” She said and started walking again, not minding about the people who were all looking at her ever since she arrived. She arrived at the back garden of the Academy where she had seen Alexis on her mind. He was with her woman, flirting with each other, kissing her like there’s no other people out there, watching them. “I thought, I’ve made myself clear yesterday.” Elmira said, walking towards them. As soon as Alexis heard her voice, he stopped from what he was doing, and looked towards that familiar voice he had heard. “What’s wrong?” The woman asked him, seated on his lap. Alexis stood up and put her behind him, protecting her from Elmira. “What are you doing here?” He gritted his teeth. Just seeing Elmira angers him much. “She’s that Lady, I saw in my dream. The one I was talking to you Al.” Rebecca’s looking at Elmira with amusement. “I remember those green highlights in her hair, and her eyes. She’s existing.” She added. Elmira grinned towards her, and then back to Alexis. “Did you know that you just exposed the Royal Family’s movements?” Elmira relayed through his mind. “Someone’s in her head, using her to read you.” Alexis couldn’t talk back to Elmira's mind as he couldn’t get through her head. He stayed silent and waited for her to continue. “And I am here to remove that person from her head.” She added, still through his mind. “And how will you do that, if that’s even true?” Alexis is still doubting her, but the fact that she had helped the woman already without knowing who she is, and only seeing her for the first time that day when she brought her back to life, He could now feel more at ease when she is talking about her safety. “Just let me hold her hand. It’s painless, I promise.” “I’ll kill you if she’s hurt.” Elmira grinned at what he had said. “As if you can.” Elmira walks towards the Woman behind Alexis, and flushes a smile towards her. She put her hand in front of her, “Nice to finally meet you.” Elmira said and waited for her to touch her hand, as she’s doubting whether it is just fine for her to touch her beautiful hands. Alexis nodded to give her the go signal, and as soon as Alexis did that, instead of putting her hands on Elmira’s hands, she came rushing forward and hugged her. Elmira was taken aback from what she just did. “Thank you for giving me another chance to live.” She said. “But you should’ve just let me die.” She whispered towards her. “Someone has been manipulating me, ever since, and I’m afraid that if that person is using me to get to know Alexis, I’m afraid that I could cause him harm.” She said, still whispering in her ears. “And you're manipulating her to say that, do you?” Elmira removed her from hugging her as fast as she could and got a hold of her hand. She’s struggling to remove her hand from Elmira’s grip but even Elmira doesn't exert an effort to hold her tight, she’s still having a hard time to withdraw her hands. Elmira locked Rebecca’s mind so that that person who has been manipulating her couldn’t get back at her again. After finishing, Elmira withdrew her hands and looked towards Alexis. “I’ll get moving.” She said. “Take my words with seriousness Hazzle. Do your investigation right now. Or I won’t hesitate to kill her in front of you.” She said through his mind. “I need a progress report by tomorrow. And if you can’t give me, you’ll know what will happen.” She said, giving him a warning. She vanished again, in front of him, without saying a goodbye, and without minding about the people who had seen her disappearing. “Prepare to enter the Academy.” Savvy commanded in front of all the Gemus, which Elmira can see now. She had teleported back to her room in the Palace, and as soon as she laid down her bed, she had seen them in her mind. "The thick barriers have been down since this afternoon, so we can already get in there." Sinn said, beside Savvy in front. “We’ll get their Qaraths and energy, without mercy.” Sid added to what the first two had stated that left Elmira grinning widely from her bed.
