Chapter Fifteen

“Your Highness.” The Palace is in chaos. People were all busy cleaning off the debris, and the glasses that had been ruined by the explosion. Reports were getting in the Palace every now and then, People were coming in and out the Palace to meet the Royalties, and make reports from the sudden explosion. The Royalties had let the other Governors get in touch with them, and opened the palace gates to work with them and investigate what had happened in the North that struck almost half of Harzenia. “Speak.” The King said, sitting on his throne with the Queen beside her. In front of them is a Hazzle that they have commanded to monitor the situation in Crymph, if there were any survivors or how many deaths have been counted. “We haven’t found the Governor. His house has been wrecked and there were no bodies found inside. We’re suspecting that they left before the explosion occurred.” He said, not looking at them, and didn't even raise his head as he was respecting them for they are the Royalties of Harzenia. “Look for him, and the other Hazzles who are ruling Crymph, they might know what happened. How about the death counts?” The King asked, looking at him from his chair. “The death count has now reached two-hundred. We’re still looking for the other bodies and if there’s any Hazzle that we still can save. But we are already suspecting that other Hazzles had left the place even before the explosion happened, because if not, their bodies must be found just around Crymph, but we are having trouble locating the others.” The informer reported. Bodies were found inside their homes in Crymph, but the other homes were empty, no one was inside, which makes it more suspicious as it happened during midnight, the time everyone was still sleeping. “You are just suspecting… I see. Keep on looking for other survivors, and report directly to us if you have found the Governors and other rulers of Crymph. They might just be somewhere if they’re not in Crymph. Get in touch, and Return safely.” The King said, dismissing him to get another report from the site. They were constantly reporting every one hour to inform the Palace about their progress on the site. After the Informer had left, another one had entered the Royalty’s office. “I have a report from Tarfelli, Your Highness.” He said, handing them a Report from Tarfelli. They read it in front of the Hazzle silently, who had given them the report. “The death count from the disease had now risen into three-hundred and sixty-nine.” He said. The death count has tripled from the last report that they had received. It was just less than hundred when they had last received the report, even before their Governor had visited the Palace. But it's gotten so much worse for less than 24-hours. There was so much going on in the Palace, reports were flooding, and they had already called for some other Hazzles from the Palace to receive every report that was coming in. The Queen and the King were just receiving the people from outside the Palace in their office so they could receive the report directly, but those reports that were coming in written form, they just let the others handle it, and just received it in their office after. The Palace is in total mess, and they couldn’t handle everything at once, so they had never let Alexis leave the Palace to get back to the Academy. The Academy is facing another problem as the Gemus were inside the Academy, so they had ordered them to close it for days, as their safety should always be the priority. They had received a report from there that the Instructors were handling and already controlled the situation as they had also experienced the impact of the explosion. Redina and Smith were just helping in the medical wing to cure those who have been hurt from the explosion. There were many casualties in the Palace, as the Hazzles couldn’t get out fast when the explosion happened, but they were getting treated. They were trying to control the situation for the best that they could, but things were getting out of hand, as Tarfelli is also having another crisis as the unknown disease has been taking so many innocent lives. “We can’t do anything about this.” The King said, folding the report again. The Hazzle who had delivered the report to them was just looking and he just remained calm, listening to what the King had to say. “You can go now.” The King stated. The Hazzle just left without saying anything as he just delivered the Written report of Tarfelli that someone just handed him. He was one of the Hazzles that were on the gates, waiting for another written report to be submitted inside. “I’ll try to contact someone from Tarfelli that will lead them outside the borders of their place. But I couldn’t guarantee the success of that plan as their Government might be doing something to prevent them from getting in touch from outside of Tarfelli.” The Queen said, preparing herself to contact someone from Tarfelli through dreams. “Be careful. They might try to manipulate you. Remember that woman who came here last meeting.” Jack was so stressed out. A day hasn’t passed by, But He was already so exhausted from the tragedies happening in their Land, one after another. Everyone is exhausted, not only the King, but they are trying to control the flow of what is happening, so they’re staying as intact as possible, and as alert as possible for another possible incident that may happen in their jurisdiction. “Someone’s trying to block me. I couldn’t contact anyone.” Elizabeth has tried everything she can to connect with just anyone inside Tarfelli, but for so many attempts, she still couldn’t access anyone inside. “It’s fine. We had already expected that to come.” The King said, trying to make her feel better. They had already seen that coming as they knew who they were against. The Governors of Tarfelli won’t just let anyone ruin their plans, and they also know that they did nothing from their suggestions based on what they have talked about prior to their meeting. They just tried to contact someone, knowing that it is not possible. “Let’s just focus on the explosion in Crymph. We have so many things to do because of that.” He said, holding her hands. “We still haven’t found Elmira.” The Queen said, trying to sound as if she was just fine because she knew her daughter’s capabilities and who she really is, but as a mother, she just can’t help not to worry. “Let’s just hope she’s fine, wherever she is.” He was trying to lighten the mood, but he still couldn’t hide that he’s also worried about what happened to her. Elizabeth smiled timidly, as she was also hoping for her safety. “I’ll just check the Medical Wing.” She stood up and getting ready to leave. “I’ll teleport you there.” “No need. Stay here and get the reports done. I’ll just walk.” She said and smiled, assuring him that she can handle it by herself. “I’ll help Mom to get there. I have already finished my works.” Alexis suddenly appeared beside them, holding Elizabeth in her shoulders, as he gets ready to teleport her to the Medical Wing. “Just call me if you need a hand.” Jack nodded and watched them vanish in front of him. “That brat. He can already teleport but still makes me do the work for him.” He said smiling as he was surprised that Alexis can now use Teleportation. The two arrived in the Medical Wing, but were shocked to see what is the current condition there. All beds were occupied, some Hazzles were just lying on the floor, waiting to be treated. The Healers were all around the place, curing first the Hazzles with the worst condition, controlling the bleedings of their wounds, trying to save their lives. The very first person they had looked for was Redina, who had been in the Wing ever since the shaking had stopped to make sure that they were doing fine. They both looked for them, but they couldn’t be found anywhere in the right side of the medical wing, so they had teleported to the left side where the medicines are located. “Ma.” There, they had seen the two, with the other Hazzles, making something in one of the long tables inside. They walked towards them. Everyone inside was busy, but they still managed to give a bow for the Two. “What are you doing Ma? I thought you’re curing Hazzles on the right.” She said, looking at what they were doing. “We were short on medicines. So we’re making one, from Smith’s herbs.” She said, without looking at them. “He’s a great help, you know.” She chuckled, mixing the medicine on the pot. “You look all so tired. Drink this to regain your strength.” Redina had given them each a glass of beverage that they drank fast. It was just a simple colorless beverage, but Redina had put an energizer on it to help them regain their strength faster. “We’ll go on the right Ma, we’ll see you later. Don’t overwork yourself, Ma, Pa. Try to rest if you can.” She said, before Alexis helped her to be on the Right Side of the Medical Wing. As soon as they arrived, they separated ways to cure as many Hazzles as possible with their Healing Qaraths, helping the Healers as they were short handed with Healers as others were also injured from the sudden explosion. Those who they have cured were the ones with just a little injury as they can just use their healing Qarath for basic injuries, they have left the worst cases with the healers. They had left when The King called for them in the office, as someone was looking for Alexis. “Rebecca.” As soon as Alexis had seen her, he ran towards her and hugged her so tight. “How did you get here?” He was all smiling, seeing her makes his heart flutter and he was now at ease as she was already beside him. “She teleported me here, and said that I can help you with something here in the Palace, but I’m not so sure what I can help you with.” She said, still hesitating and doubting about what she can help them in the Palace. “Who are you pertaining to, Young Lady?” The Queen asked as she had a strong feeling that it was Elmira who she was talking about. “That woman, with the Green Highlights in her hair, Your Highness, if you happen to know her.” Elizabeth and Jack looked towards each other, trying to hide their happiness in front of her. It was the greatest news that they have ever received ever since the sun had risen. The news that Elmira was just fine wherever she is right now. “I don’t know if I needed to tell you this but…” She paused, hesitating to continue what she wanted to say. “I saw her with three of Alexis' bodyguards.” She said, trying to hide her fear, and doubt for her. “She was with them before she approached me, and told me that it is best for me if I’ll stay here in the Palace.” “And who are they that makes you tremble?” The Queen asked her, as she was getting curious about what she was saying , and how hard she’s trying to stop her hands from trembling. “I have seen them in Alexis’ mind before. And they were leading those who tried to kill me inside the Forbidden Forest.” She’s calming herself as she has remembered those who have tried to get her Qaraths inside the forest. “Gemus.” Alexis said. They were all looking at him as he said the name of those who were on the loose inside the Academy. “She was with the Gemus… My traitor bodyguards.” He said, as he’s gritting his teeth, remembering the time they had trapped him inside the forest. They were looking at each other, trying to figure out what was happening, and trying to connect the pieces of the puzzle. “And that concludes… she’s a traitor.” Their brows formed a furrow as they heard Alexis' conclusion. They didn’t end up with the same conclusion as they know who Elmira was, and Alexis doesn’t even know her name. “No. I think she’s not.” Rebecca said, opposing Alexis’ conclusion. “I saw her healing those who had injured themselves from the explosion earlier, even though she was so pale and was also injured. And she was all over the Academy, constantly checking everyone, being selfless, helping the Instructors control the situation.” They were left speechless from what they had heard from her. The Queen and the King were very ecstatic to hear the good news, but were also worried about her condition, as from what they had heard from her, she was injured. They didn't even know what kind of injury she had gotten and from where she had got it. “We were given a tip!” Someone had entered the room and slammed the door open. All their attention was directed to the man who had just reported from Crymph just earlier. “We had found the Governors.” He said, trying to calm himself, and trying to get his normal breathing pattern again, without looking at anyone, bowing his head.
