Emilia put the last of the cloth into the box she was going to use for the delivery, she was done with Mrs Georgina's clothes and she couldn’t have been more glad.
She looked to Amelia who was seated on the floor, her limbs spread everywhere.
She was certain if Amelia hadn’t been there, she wouldn’t have been able to finish the clothes within the time frame.
Amelia was free for that day and she had decided to spend the day with her.
Sealing the box and taking them outside, she went to sit beside Amelia.
“What do you want to do today or go today”
“Sorry”!Amelia asked, not understanding what Emilia meant by that question.
Emilia raised her head from Amelia's lap looking at her, repeating the question almost laughing at the shocked expression on her face.
“Do you want to sleep in or you want us to go somewhere”, Emilia asked further realizing it was taking Amelia lots of time to process what she was saying.
“You want to go out?’, You want to go to a place that doesn't involve gathering cotton, or wool or linen or basically anything material?”. Amelia asked incredulously, not believing what she was hearing.
Her best friend would rather die in her house than step out to know if there was a way to save herself if it didn't have to do with materials and clothes.
“You sure you would want to go out?”Amelia asked further.
“Yea…”
“Why”, Cutting in, not letting Emilia finish what she was saying.
“We have been cramped in here for days, Amy, and I would really love for us to see the outside world, " Emilia said with a laugh.
“Anywhere you want to go, name it," Emilia added slyly, standing at her full length now.
“I don't trust you, and I don't know what your plan is, but I am going to get ready." Amelia stood up too, heading to the bathroom.
She had planned on sleeping earlier, catching up on lost sleep, but that thought was forgotten.
They had never really spent time outside together, and now Emilia was the one suggesting.
There was no way she was going to say no.
It didn't take long for Amelia to be done, dressed and all. She headed to Emilia's room expecting to see her scrunched at a corner regretting what she had just said, but she wasn't there.
She moved to the living area still looking for her, having doubts in her mind that Emilia would still want to go, but there she was all dressed and ready to move when she had finally seen her.
“You look beautiful”, Emilia said, putting a palm to her mouth.
“Come on, let's go”, Emelia said to a blushing Amelia.
“You still haven't said where we are headed”, Amelia replied to Emelia, after she had regained a bit of composure.
“I told you, that is for you to decide.”
Aiden stretched forward feeling the sun on his face, he hadn't known when he had gone back to sleep.
He stretched forward, bringing his phone to his face and checking the time.
He gasped slightly, realising it was late and there was no way he was going to make it home first.
He texted Mrs Victoria, telling her he was going to arrive home in the evening instead and wouldn't be able to make it that morning.
Then he prepares to head back to work, grateful that this place had change of clothes and he wasn't going to get unwanted questions and looks.
Emilia looked at her surroundings with a shocked expression.
She turned to Amelia, hoping she would have the same expression on her face and them landing here was by coincidence.
“What?” Amelia asked, noticing the look on her bestfriend face, laughing at once.
“Don't tell me this is the first time you are seeing this place”, Amelia asked, although knowing the answer already.
She knew there was no way Emilia would have known about this place or any place not close to where she lived, she was forever stuck in that environment.
Emilia looked round, her face that of awe and wonder. She had never expected Reminaria to be developed in such a period, but now that she thought about it, she had been here for more than three years, that was enough to build a place as magnificent as this.
Emilia stood feeling the air around her which shimmered with a soft golden glow and the scent of blooming jasmine lingering on like a gentle breeze, twinkling lanterns float above winding cobblestone paths.
At the heart of the park lies a breathtaking Celestial Falls, that flows with water resembling liquid starlight, glowing in hues of silver, violet and sapphire. As they plunge into a mirror-like lake they create a symphony of musical chimes that echoes throughout the park.
Emilia hears Amelia say something beside her but she is so focused on the breathtaking view in front of her that she barely registers what she says, till she feels a hand on her shoulder snapping her out of her trance.
“Don't be wowed yet, “there's more”, Amelia said while laughing and pulling her along.
Emilia followed behind Amelia, yelling to her to slow down her pace as she felt the breeze moving past her face in rapid torrents making her feel like she was swallowing large gulps of hair.
A sudden stop from Amelia made Emilia stop in her tracks bumping right into her, hitting Amelia’s back with her face in an attempt to avoid hitting her head.
Emilia looked forward wondering what had made Amelia stop and right in front of stood a massive gravity defying carousel which she later found out were called the skyspinners. Its enchanted wooden creatures– phoenixes, unicorns and winged lions, soar high into the sky giving riders a sweeping view of the entire park before floating back down like a feather in the wind.
“Wow…”, was all Emilia could let out before Amelia had cut through her sentence.
“We are getting on one”, Amelia had said, sending shivers down her spine.
Ever since the accident that involved her and her parents, she had avoided things that moved with speed.
“Don't worry, you would be fine”, Amelia said, noticing the look on Emilia’s face not knowing the real reason behind the look.
“I promise.” She added, before dragging Emilia to where they were going to get tickets.
