Chapter 18

"Took you a lot longer to find me than I thought." I said, amusement filling my voice.     "You, my dear, make it hard to find you when you don't want to be found. Since the ceremony has not been complete, I couldn't follow you completely. You play a dangerous game." He sat across from me, smirking.     "I live for danger, except when it comes to marrying an insane demon."  I said coolly. His smirk grew. "You really think that there is nothing wrong with this situation?"     "Dear, when you are a demon lord, there is nothing wrong. As long as I get my way, I am fine with it." He declared. Amusement flickered in his eyes as he studied me. "You think the same thing in your situations. You see, my dear, James, I have been watching you for a long time. Acting like an innocent shy fourteen-year-old girl. Being trained for as long as you remember. You never had the chance to be a child. You have no anger towards them."     "Buddy, you just confirmed that demons are perverts." I pointed at him accusingly.     "What was the first hint?" He asked.     "The fact that I, a fourteen-year-old girl, not out of high school, is being forced into a marriage with you, is a rather big hint. Trust me, there is a reason that you belong in hell and should stay there." I stated. He let out a long laugh. I scowled at him. This demon is rather annoying.      "Yet, you sit here and not run away from me. You are dressed in a nice dress, that fits in the right ways, and you are drinking wine. Nothing wrong there?" He raised.     "This is only because I am in intense pain and wine is numbing that. You have no right to judge me. All this pain that I am suffering is because I had no interest in taking part of ritual." I said. He raised a brow. I stood up, setting my glass on the table. "My own family betrayed me, along with their dumbass friends, except for one boy, Harry. A boy who barely knows me, became protective of me and was, and still is, desperate for me to get out of here. He's fighting you, right?"     "He is strong willed. I was not expecting it, I must admit. Even now he screams for you to run, why is that? Oh, wait, I already know. He loves you. A boy who meets you only once. Some one who is older than you, loves you. From the moment he meant you, he chose to love you. Humans, living on such a weak emotion. Why?"     "At least he has feelings. You really think you are going to win?" I questioned. He stood, making his way to me. I stood my ground as he stopped in front of me.     "I already won. You can't run and there is no where for you to run. Who is going to save you from me? No one. Your siblings have joined the cult, along with your parents and friends. Your uncle is too far away to save you. Your grandfather is dead. Harry is now under my control. He is gone. There is no one for you to turn to."     "Who said I needed saving? Now every girl is said to be in need of a hero, but trust me, at the end of this night, I am my own hero. My uncle told if I was to ever need any saving, never rely on some else, always rely on myself. Be your own hero."      "Your uncle, as annoying as he is, is wise. An old soul they say." He grumbled unhappily.     "It sounds like you had a run in with him." I said.     "I did. He throws a good punch." I raised a brow. "I refuse to say anything further beyond that."     "Now you sound like a child who didn't get their way." I chuckled. He scowled at me. "What's your plan anyways? Marry me and keep control over Harry's body? Then what?"     "Stay here until this mortal body is no longer of use. We will be married. You will have my kids who will run this Earth until the end of days. You won't have to deal with the family that hates you. The cult will serve you. We can rule the world!"     "That is sure some plan." I muttered. I turned away from him, heading towards the window. I sighed. From here I can see the fire spreading across the woods. I felt guilty, but this place needs to be destroyed in the end. I need to get Harry back first.     Music began to play.  I closed my eyes as I realized that this is the waltz grandpa always had us dance to. "A dance before the ceremony is complete, my dear?" He took my hand and gave a small smile to me. "I'm sure you know what you are doing, my dear." Well, it's a good thing grandpa taught me how to dance. His eyes flashed blue, showing that Harry is still fighting to get through. I smiled.     "Just one dance." I took his hand and he pulled me close. We began a slow waltz, dancing around the room.     "I'm glad you are no longer fighting against me. I will give you a happy life, so long as you obey me." He said. I pulled myself away from him.      "Are you thirsty. Mandy, a maid here, gave me some raspberry wine." I said.     "Sounds lovely. I think I will take the whole bottle for myself. I am sure you have had enough." He took the whine bottle. I bit my lip to keep myself from smiling. All it takes is a simple question to see if he wanted anything to drink. I hope everything else goes smoothly.     The demon chugged the wine down, which is really disgusting to watch as it dribbled down his chin. The lights began to flicker. I flinched as he threw the wine bottle into the fireplace. He turned to me and I then went flying into the window. Glass shattered around me, cutting into my skin. "Okay, not exactly the plan." I groaned.         "What the f**k did you do to me!" He screamed. He wrapped his hand around my throat and threw me into the table. Splinters dug into my back, breaking skin. I groaned in pain. "What did you do?" He hissed.     "Holy w-water works w-wonders." I gasped out. He let me go and let out a scream of rage. I backed away from him. The lights begin to flicker off and on as the screams became more inhuman.      I scooted back into the cupboard that holds the matches. I grabbed the matches before curling up and covering my ears. The lights went out before silence filled the darkness.      I sat up as the lights flickered back on. Harry laid there sprawled out on the floor. "Harry? Harry, wake up!" I begged. Harry groaned in pain     "James...the next time I yell run, f*****g run." He moaned. I let out a huff of laughter. "I'm okay though."
