Chapter Two: Broken hearts lead to horrible decisions

Six months into the relationship between Aviana and Lucian.

Everything seemed to be going perfect especially since he took away the pain of seeing Dario with another woman, taking the forbidden crush right off her mind completely. It left her open to actually willingly try with Lucian. Sure they were only friends with benefits to start however that lead into so much more, feelings grew despite the best effort for it not to. Lucian was now the one who held her heart and captured her attention however she had yet to tell him in fear he didn’t feel the same. However she also knew that shouldn’t be the case because they were soulmates. Or at least they were supposed to be.

Their relationship took a turn for the worst one night when she ended up having to work late not only because of a fashion line emergency that required attention but also because the magazine needs to be published early in the morning. Of course when she had gone to text him that she would be late her phone had died and all her brothers were being stubborn as to not willingly wanting to help her. It was her fault for not bringing an extra charger to work or making sure her phone was charged. Yet she still wanted to surprise him with not only a sexy outfit and wine but with three little words. I love you - it was her plan to tell him that tonight once she finished up at the office.

Hours seemed to go by and it got later and later which was only making her crankier then she had been in the first place. Part of her had hoped he would call the office yet there was nothing which seemed unusual especially since he typically would be worried about her not being at his place on time. They hadn’t moved in together yet however she spent most of her time at his place and even had a few items here and there. Maybe once she got the words out of the way they could work towards the next steps, putting Dario and everything else in the past where it belonged.

Finally at around 9 pm she could finally leave the office however she decided to make a couple pit stops on before heading to Lucian’s place. She picked up their first bottle of wine they had shared together before heading home to quickly shower and change into a seductive lingerie set that not only showed off her curves but also left nothing to really question due to its visibility. Every part of her was excited to finally be open with him about her feelings and no longer have to hide them.

One quick glimpse into the mirror after applying just a small bit of make up and curling her hair she covered herself in a long coat just to hide the outfit from unwanted eyes. She grabbed her set of keys before heading off to his home only stopping to pick up a movie for them to enjoy after hopefully countless rounds of lovemaking. Yet she hadn’t anticipated to be the one surprised that night and not in a good way.
