Grace stared at her in disbelief.
She never imagined that the Claire who had always meekly accepted everything would speak to them like this.
Claire's expression turned cold.
"I'm doing this for Henry, not for either of you. If you keep making a scene here, I can refuse to let you into the courtroom."
Soon afterward, Mr. Walker arrived.
Claire said, "Mr. Carter is busy. Mr. Walker is the best attorney available after him, and I trust him."
After dealing with Mr. Walker several times, she genuinely believed he was experienced and capable.
Jason's face remained grim. Though he was unwilling to accept it, he had no choice.
"Claire, if this case doesn't go our way… you'll regret it."
