"Claire!" Sophie suddenly appeared at the door as Claire opened it, giving her a pleasant surprise.
She flashed Claire a playful smile, then tilted her head toward Adrian. "Adrian, hurry up and bring everything inside!"
Standing right in front of the peephole had been Adrian, who was carrying two large bags stuffed full of groceries.
Claire opened the door all the way to let them in. "Sophie, Adrian, what are you two doing here?"
"What do you think?" Sophie hooked her arm through Claire's and pulled her inside. "Why did you move here? You could've stayed with me. I wouldn't even charge you rent."
