Unlike her peers, who figured out what being attracted to other people meant as early as the elementary school days, Maxine was the odd one out.  She would always join school contests or help her parents in managing their pet shop and veterinary clinic. Her friends did not bother asking who the identity of her crush was; they knew she could not pull out a single name. Later on, she jumped into the world of having a crush when she joined an art workshop.
