Alexander had been in a particularly dark mood since our drunken exchange. He woke long before the dawn and came to sleep long past nightfall. I was beginning to suspect he was avoiding me on purpose. Though for the life of me I could not work out as to why. The answer came in the form of Alexander himself on a cold and wet afternoon.
