Chapter 3: Cleaning Up Messes part 1

1006 Words
*Millie* I got home about 30 minutes later. Though I live just 10 minutes from the gym, I drove for a bit to make sure I wasn't being followed. I roll into the driveway at about ten-ish. Mom and dad were fine with it as long as I had a good reason. Which means tonight I need to come up with something better than a possible stalker to get out of it. Studying late at the library it is. But I definitely had to be back by 10:30 on a school night or there'd be hell to pay. I walked my dad's pride and joy into the garage. Yes, it's technically his since I'm not old enough to own one, but I still bought it with my own money. I strolled into the house to hear laughter from the living room. Shoot, visitors. I ran up the back staircase to my bedroom. I opened the door and closed it quietly behind me. OK, I need to change and head off before mom kills me. I take out my contacts and put on my glasses. Change into my baby blue shorts and two sizes bigger " I hate sushi" night shirt. Finally, I throw my hair up into my signature messy bun. I hid the jacket and all my fighting gear in my hidden closet drawer. Still unknowingly, under the watch of somebody. I shut my door quietly and checked myself once more in the hallway mirror. Once satisfied with my once over, I headed down the stairs. You are probably wondering why I changed into a completely opposite outfit and hid my other clothes, right? Well I am, for now, the sole owner of our family bakery; Suger sweets cakes & candies by Cathy and Kyle; aka my mom and dad. I am Millie Waters. A nerdy good girl, good grades, straight A all the way, kid by day. At night, I'm either Evil Evan, an undefeated fighter with a bad temper, or Awesome April, the bad to the bone street racer with a soulless lover. I keep my T's crossed and my i's dotted for the lives I love. The different parts that make me, well, me. I reached the bottom of the stairs and walked into the dining room. Lily and Liam should be asleep by now. The ten-year-old twins came as a surprise to all of us. Well, let's just say that it was blamed on the red wine from Valentine's. I walked up to the table between my mother and father, who was sitting across from another older couple." Hello, mother and father", I greeted both of them with a kiss on the cheek. Yes, I call them mom and dad any other time but never in front of people I don't know." Hey, darling", my mother spoke softly. Her brown hair was up in a neat ponytail and her green eyes were gleaming with delight." Hello, sweet pea", my father said, and seemed more relaxed to see me home now. His blue eyes gleamed with curiosity from underneath his dirty blonde hair. I looked up from my parents and greeted the people who were there as well." Hello, my name is Millie", I beamed at them. If you're wondering, no this isn't an act and yes I'm still the same person who was ready to kill someone a moment ago." Oh, what a wonderful daughter you have, Cathy", the woman smiled." Thank you Samantha. She is one of the pride and joys in our humble home". As I mentally rolled my eyes while smiling on the outside. I wonder how long she has wanted to say that." Oh, Chris. Wouldn't she just be perfect for our boy", said the lady Samantha. Oh, no. I am not going out with two goody shoes, boys. I'm bad and can't deal with too much sunshine." Of course, dear", Chris smiled." What school do you attend darling"?" Riverside High, miss...."? Shoot I don't know their last name." Our son attends their too. Oh sorry I'm Samantha Campbell and this is my husband Christopher, but he prefers Chris". Oh, Campbell. Wait Campbell. Does that mean they are related to...? I heard a knock from the door that reeled me out of my thoughts." Oh that must be our son. He was told to come over after he returned home"." Don't worry, I'll grab it". Slowly, I walked to the door. Please don't let it be. Pppllleeeaaassseee don't let it bbbbeeee. But of course it had to be. * Lucas* I cannot believe my parents. First they made me move to a perfect family avenue and now I have to come home early. Now my day is worse because of that punk who broke my nose. I have an idea about who it was, but it can't be possible. First off, she would be faking a "he" and second, she would have to have a completely different attitude than she usually does. I kept shaking my head at these thoughts. I walked through the door of the house. Boxes were still stacked against the wall. I sighed and walked towards the kitchen. I was about ready to grab some water from the fridge when I read a note. "At the next-door-neighbor's house to the north. Come say hi." -Love, mom. That note may sound unharmful to you. But to me it was a scream 'just try and define my wishes boy!' I groaned as I made my way up the stairs. Asher was probably asleep by now. I wish I was ten again. I opened my door and walked into my room. Before I turned on the lights, I saw the room across from mine's lights come on. I watched as a girl in black stormed through the room. Her height screamed high schooler. She threw all of her black clothes in her closet. Then she went out in light colored clothes and glasses before leaving the room again. Who was that?
