Chapter 31PHILADELPHIA International airport's chief of security, Charles Dougherty, snatched the phone to stop its ringing. “Dougherty,” he answered. His gruffness meant someone's head would be ringing soon. “Mr. Dougherty, this is the president. Please look up the number of the White House and call me back. You will reach the switchboard, so you will know it's really me, and your call will be put right through.” The call ended. It sounded like him, he thought as he laid the pencil down.
