Chapter 38ASHLEY KNOCKED on the door to alert everyone that they had arrived. Crossing the fading lawn with Lee, Fritz saw the porch beginning to fill. The president walked down the steps, a broad smile on his face, his hand extended.

Before the president could speak, Lee said to Fritz, “Mr. Russell, it would be more appropriate if you had done your presentation in reverse.
