Chapter 5In a week of doing inventory duty Margot had become nearly as fast as Eileen. She ended the day worn out, her muscles still regaining strength, but she was following the doc’s diet plan, and feeling stronger every day. She tore open a pack of protein supplement to pour into her water, while she and some of the inventory team sat at the longest table in the mess, eating lunch with Izzy. Eileen was looking at her sandwich askance, not apparently impressed with the protein inside it. “If this is real ham then I’m—” A klaxon screamed out, cutting off her words.
