Chapter 7Margot sat up and looked at the time: 02:35. Great. She tried to resist picking up the tablet on the shelf beside her bed, but her hand reached out for it without conscious thought. She didn’t even have to grope for it, she knew where it was by pure muscle memory. Luke’s pod was fine. Of course, it was fine. There’d been no alarm to indicate another virus attack. And she had the alarm set up on the pod’s status, as Eileen had shown her, so if something else were to happen to it, not related to the virus, she’d know.
