Alex The She-Devil

Shay I got a large pizza and a bottle of wine for myself and Chrissy once we left “Lituations”. She asked me a million and one questions the entire drive home. Once we were settled, I took out my notebook and put on the videos I watched with Silas. Before I could finish telling her everything, I broke down. Chrissy is such a good friend she watched me cry for ten minutes then punched me in the arm. “Ouch! What the f*ck?” “I know it sucks but I’m glad you got your memory back and you should be too. Now instead of snippets, you got the whole picture.” “I don’t though.” “Well in about two weeks I think you will.” “Our goal was to be healed by new year’s.” “Well b*tch unless you’re gonna have a dream tonight and wake up knowing all; that’s not gonna happen.” “Where’s Ty?” I ask her the question that’s been on my mind. “You don’t have to worry about Ty ever again. Okay?” “Okay.” We sat up and talked about how distant Silas was the past few days. What will happen after we talk about these new discoveries and finally his assistant. Chrissy knows something, I know she does. But she’s not telling me, she’s letting me lose it. “It sounds stupid but kissing him one day did spark something but having s*x with him lit a da*n fire. last time we ignored it, but now…” I shake my head pausing, “I can’t shake it.” “I know Shay. You are handling this like the boss I know you are. But I think you might be falling into that spells web.” “That’s impossible Chrissy. I took the time to actually think and write and figure out my childhood.” “That’s good, what about Silas?” She adjusted herself on the couch. “I don’t know what he’s been doing with his extra time, but his club closed an hour ago. Where the hell is he at? He’s probably with his assistant, of course he would be.” I rambled unintentionally. “Shay don’t assume. I’m sure he wouldn’t do that to you.” “I’m going to bed; I can’t believe I’m up waiting for him in the first place.” “Shay…” Chrissy sighs. “No, it’s late. It’s after five in the morning.” “I’m going next door to give you space. Maybe you’ll talk when he comes in because I know you won’t be sleep.” I cut my eyes at her, and she laughed a small giggle while getting her stuff together. I sat there for a few minutes after Chrissy left thinking about everything all over again. If he wouldn’t do that to me like she said, then why did he let her throw herself on him like that. Why do she look so da*n familiar, who is she? I got up off the couch and turned out the lights when I heard his keys unlock the door. I stopped and waited for him to walk in so I could see what state he was in. And if I’m being honest with myself, I want to know if he appears to be a man who just had s*x. “You’re standing in the dark because…?” He asks. “I was obviously on my way to bed.” “What kept you up?” He says while closing the door. “Where were you?” “The same place you left me.” He answers casually. “With your help?” I felt the bitter taste as soon as the bitter words left my mouth. Silas rolled his eyes and took his jacket off. “Don’t start.” “I’ll take that as a, yes.” “We were working.” He huffs. “Whatever.” I started walking towards my bedroom and he locked the door then followed me. He dropped his jacket on the arm of the chair in my room before turning on my light and standing in my doorway. “Why do you care? Ms. I’m not doing this with you anymore.” “I don’t.” I say pulling my blankets back, on my bed. “It sounds like you do.” “Silas, I needed to talk to you while you were out being the man you are.” I turn off my lights with an attitude. “The man I am? Who is that?” He challenges me. “Forget about it, you can close my door.” He closed my door and sat in the chair watching me climb into bed. “I meant on your way out. Leave.” “Correct me if I’m wrong. You Don’t like the man I am because I’m not your man.” “I don’t want you to be my man. Other than bruise my self-esteem and get me pregnant what have you done for me when you were my man? What have you done for me being my friend?” “What haven’t I done for you? Where is this coming from?” “I was r*ped.” The tears poured from my eyes instantly. “What?” “Ty r*ped me.” Silas took a deep breath and looked at the ground. He then rubbed his face with his hands and shook his head. My stomach feels like it’s in knots and I don’t know what to say. “I know. That’s when you lost our baby.” “When did you remember this?” “During the video of my birthday party.” “Why didn’t you say anything?” “I needed time to understand it before I could explain it.” “Well now that I know you know; you can leave my room now.” “I’d rather stay with you.” He confesses. “You’re not about to lay in my bed after you just f*ck some hussy.” I spat with disgust. “I did not f*ck anybody tonight; I was working making sure everything with the cleanup crew was good before I left.” “That took an hour?” “For the first night of business it took about forty minutes, and you live fifteen minutes away from the club.” He lectured me. “Fine.” “Why are you mad?” He looked at me confused. “Did you f*ck her?” “I said no.” “Not tonight… In general.” I hesitate. “Yes, I did.” A new sheet of tears burned my eyes. “Before or after me?” “I’ll sleep in the guest room.” “Wow.” “Goodnight Shay.” “H*e.” Silas stood up and left my room. I’m hurt. I felt something for him after this week when he felt nothing. I’m mad I thought I was the only one, I know better. He’s just like any other ninja out there. Now that I know I was with him for over a year when I was 15 or 16 got pregnant had a miscarriage and apparently, I moved because I was out of New York during the car accident. Guess that’s all I need to know about us and my childhood other than that, the time with him was pretty solid. I wasn’t a dumb kid; I had my moments but who doesn’t? All that being said, I’m done watching videos, looking at photos and talking to everybody about the past. Silas can run his club and sleep with all the h*es he wants because I’m done being anything more than a friend to him. I need to move on and focus on me anyway, my present and my future is what matters now. “Do you remember her?” His voice breaks me away from my train of thought as he leans on my door frame. “What’s her name?” I sit up looking at his silhouette. “Alex, She models for Charm magazine.” He answers plainly. “Yet she works at your club as well?” I ask scornfully. He sighs before standing straight up. “Yes and no, Silas I don’t know.” I lay back down pulling the covers over my head. “You’re not supposed to go to sleep mad.” He says studying me. “I won’t. As soon as you get out my room, I’ll be ecstatic.” I lie but he doesn’t fight it. Why would he anyway? I heard him sigh before he left my room, closing the door lightly. Sincere The next morning, I sat in Selena’s living room with Sion and JJ, waiting for Chrissy to join us so I could get to it. “Hurry your a*s up girl!” Sion shouted. “Hush, I didn’t want my food to burn.” Chrissy fussed. “Are you ready now?” I asked patiently. “Yeah, what’s up?” “I just left Shay’s a minute ago and my intention was to talk to them about Alex.” “I did peep her last night. What’s up with that?” Sion questioned. I ran down the ordeal with Silas and Alex to them and they reacted the same way I did in my head when I found out. Now when I tell them Shay doesn’t want to hear any more about it, they’ll probably be confused like I was. “Other than that, they remember everything up until the day Shay got out of the hospital. He doesn’t recall being up under her for six weeks after the miscarriage and she does but doesn’t care to elaborate because she doesn’t remember leaving. She does know for a fact she left just don’t remember when, how, and why. I asked if she remembers visiting and she doesn’t.” “So, let's jog their memories a bit more, they’re almost to the main part.” JJ added casually. “How they forgot in the first place.” Sion adds while nodding. “We can jog Silas memories all day long.” I confirm. “But?” Chrissy looks at me to continue. “Shay doesn’t care anymore.” “You’re lying.” Chrissy accuses me. “She said she don’t want to be bothered with the past.” “What did he do?” She narrows her eyes. “I don’t know.” I shrugged. “He had s*x with this Alex h*e at the same time as when he was messing with Shay. He’s a dirty Dog!” Selena cursed. “Shay doesn’t know about that.” I assume. “She was sure of it last night.” Chrissy hummed. “She assumed last night. Shay doesn’t know.” I corrected. Shay then walked into Selena’s apartment from the hallway in the middle of our conversation and joined Chrissy on the floor. Either she’s a good actor or she really doesn’t care. She seems happy in a sense, and she looks refreshed. “Shay doesn’t know what?” Shay asks in third person. “A lot, but Shay doesn’t want to know.” Sion mocks. “What were y’all talking about?” She pushes. “You” Selena states bluntly. “You snitch.” JJ hisses at her playfully. “What about me?” Shay asked looking around the room. “Where’s Silas?” Chrissy looks up at her. “Why would I know?” “Because he lives with you.” “I’m not his keeper.” Shay says apathetically. “I remember when you were.” JJ huffed under his breath. “Get over it!” She snapped at JJ. I take back what I said, she’s definitely cranky. “He’s probably with Alex.” Selena provoked her. “Alex? Of course, he is.” Shay rolls her eyes. “The girl he hired as his assistant then had s*x with. Shay, are you okay?” Selena scans her face, looking for a reaction. “I’m tired of having these conversations. When y’all start living in the now, give me a call. Happy New Year’s Eve.” Shay got up and left. Everyone sat quiet for a minute and me being a lawyer I think we should just stick our tails between our legs and leave them be. Silas is doing what he wants and so should Shay. I’m not sure what’s going to happen now, but I do know, this Sh*t with Alex is going to blow up. I hope we can repair the damage when it does. But getting two stubborn a*s lovers to remember who they were together was a challenge we all knew was hard before we took it. I’m not giving up on them, but I will give them space until they’re ready to get back on track. “Let’s jog her memory subliminally. I’m not trying to be here when she gets a hold of Alex.” JJ suggests. “That is gonna be a mess. I can’t believe Silas is with her.” Chrissy shook her head. “Well, fill me in. Who is this she-devil?” Selena asks and leans back.
