Celia was confused and had an instinctive urge to follow, but Tammy held her back and advised, "Mom, don't bother with him. Daniel is just a troubled kid. Lucky for me, I've always been with Mom. If I had grown up with that bad guy, I might have turned out just as weird as Daniel."
Celia touched Tammy's head and gently reprimanded her, "Honey, you shouldn't speak ill of others like that."
Tammy pouted and reluctantly agreed, "Fine, I won't say bad things about him. He's younger than me, although we're only a month apart in age. I can be more patient with him."
Celia glanced in the direction Daniel had left and felt a hint of discomfort. However, she quickly looked away, as she didn't see the need to pay too much attention to Grace's child.
