The second floor was a lot calmer at first sight. The tiled floors stretched out and when he checked his map Dusty couldn’t find any inkling of any enemies at all. His map wasn’t green but there were only two to three dots showing up.
“Tiled floors, shields on the castle walls,” Alex studied his surroundings and his tail started to swish back and forth, faster than Dusty had seen him do before. “I do believe this floor will have a great weapon on it.”
Woofie snorted. “Is that all you care about, fox? The latest toy for your arsenal?”
“Well, yes,” Alex responded. “Rachel will always be my first love, but I would love for my collection to grow and blossom further. This floor holds promise. I wish I knew what it came from.”
Dusty frowned at his map. “Alex, I think something is wrong.”
