Chapter 5

1113 Words
The electricity that shot through my arms from his hand made the rhythm of my heart speed up. I tried to ignore the power that he had over me and glanced up at him with a glare, but that flattered away immediately the moment I looked into his eyes. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.” Even though he said that and looked apologetic, I couldn’t ignore this uncomfortable feeling that I felt in the pit of my stomach. The way he looks at me makes me feel like there’s no escape from him and that he’s dangerous and I trust my stomach. I slowly nodded and pulled my arm away, rubbing the burning place that he had touched. “Y-Yeah, sure, no problem.” “Did I hurt you?” He asked, worried evidence in his voice while he came closer to me again to check if I’m really okay. I evaded his touch and looked down at our feet. Damn, even my feet look small compared to his. “N-No, you didn’t. It’s just that everywhere you touch gets hot, and it makes me feel weird.” What did I just say!? My eyes widen in realization of the stupid mistake that I just made. “I’m going to leave now.” Not able to withstand the embarrassment, I went to the clerk to pay for my cereal and left the convenience store at the speed of light. As I walked on the way home, I couldn’t help but bash myself for what just happened. “Ugh! Why did I say that!? Stupid, stupid, stupid. I should just find somewhere to be buried and take this shame with me to the grave. I mean, why couldn’t I just talk normally? He wasn’t that godly handsome either! Even with those bulky muscles that were fighting for air through those tight clothes and that beautiful unruly black hair of his and his low but husky voice.... I need Netflix, yep absolutely. I’m going to watch some series of handsome hunks and just wash him away from my memories. What a good thing that I don’t know is name. As I stepped inside of my apartment, darkness welcomed me. “Finally... home.” I mumbled under my breath. I pulled out my phone and as soon as I looked at the screen, I saw the words that would wake me up forever. Private number: “They are DEAD.” Bloody hell! I forgot about my psychopathic, homicidal stalker! He for sure listened in to the conversation that I had with that man. I felt my hand vibrate from the phone. Private number: “So NOW you want to look at your phone. Well, I’m already on my way to kill them. Hmm... who should I kill first? Your bestie? Nah, let’s start with that f*****g player of hers.” I felt every ounce of my body turning cold. The thought of the people that I love being mutilated made me slowly hyperventilate. “Please don’t kill them, please. They are my family I can’t lose them.” Private number: “I guess they weren’t important enough to keep you from whoring yourself out.” The blood that turned cold slowly heated up again, hearing the nonsense that he was saying. He didn’t just call me a w***e, did he? I scowled at the screen. “I wasn’t whoring myself out.” Private number: “Oh please, your eyes were practically turning in to hearts. You were pretty much eye-f*****g him!” My cheeks were forming into a hue of red. “I didn’t.” I mumbled. I wasn’t eye f*****g him yet. “He was just kind of weird. I mean, he wasn’t that handsome and all that muscles are just a waste of space. Also his blue eyes were just ordinary I’ve seen better.” Why can’t I just shut up!? Private number: “Oh? You’ve sure observed him really well for someone who wasn’t interested in him.” I could feel the venom of his words dripping from the screen. “Please don’t hurt them. I’ll do anything, I swear!” I know I shouldn’t have ever said that, but come up throw me a bone here. I’m desperate, okay!? Private number: “Anything?” I gulped down the lump that had been forming since the beginning in my throat. Taking a deep breath to muster the courage to do anything for this evil bastard. “Yeah... anything that doesn’t involve me being taken away by you.” Private number: “You’ll be coming with me eventually ‘cause you’re mine and you better start to realize that, but okay I’ll let you go off the hook for now.” A vast relief just washed over me after reading his message. Private number: “If you tell me you love me.” I guess it was too soon to feel relaxed. “W-Why? You know I would be lying.” Private number: “*Sigh* I guess I that I have to kill your best friend first.” “Okay! Okay! Just give me a minute!” I yelled. I swear if I ever meet this stalker in person, I will hit him so hard until he sees stars. Sliding down against the door while gripping onto some hair strings out of frustration, I mustered all the courage that I could muster and pushed down my pride and ego. “I-I l-loooo- ov” Why is it so damn hard!? “Ugh! I love you!” I said it quickly enough so that it didn’t feel like I was saying it. Private number: “lol that made me feel way better than I expected and I love you too, baby.” “I’m REALLY starting to dislike you, Jack.” I sneered in anger. At this point, I stood up and made my way towards my room after removing my shoes and jacket. How long have I been standing in the corridor? My stomach rumbled in protest against me for not feeding it the calories that it needed, but sadly enough, so was my phone. Private number: “Did you just call me Jack?” “Yeah, I did. Jack from Jack the ripper. I know, so not original. Now, could you leave me in peace?” I said in a monotone voice. I threw the phone on the couch as a sad attempted to run away from my problems for a short amount of time. Bringing the groceries, the one cereal that I may not even like, to the kitchen.
