I GREW UP IN A FAMILY WHERE s*x IS NOT MENTIONED!

I grew up in a family where s*x is not mentioned.

To my parents, it is a bad thing and shouldn't be mentioned to the children.

Yeah, Dad always advise me and tell me a lot of things about life, buh he has never mentioned s*x as a case of study.

Charity they said begins at home, my own charity too began at home?. I'm not a perfect being but I tell you I am just good.

I've learnt a lot of things from Dad, many positive things which has yielded great things in my life.

I always take advise and I ask question when and where am confused, but s*x is one thing that I can't ask about.

Well, maybe he thinks that I will learn that in the formal setting of education and not at home. But guess what, in the formal setting of education where I attended, s*x is hardly taught, even though when they bring up the topic it doesn't last long because they think that, they aren't teaching the right time even at the right time.

The only thing I do hear from Dad when he's talking to me is Nwanyi bukwa akwa, ya kuwa o kuwachala.

That's the main advise or will I say the Igbo sentence he'd use to clarify about s****l life.

So, sometimes when I hear a lot of things about s*x or what it content is all about, I'd think is too bad to talk about.(Tho,am getting out from the shell ?)

But am glad, coz I've got to know a lot about that. The enlightenment i got was amazing.

Sometimes I'd think about why Dad haven't throw any light on that... maybe he thinks is complicated for now?.

Well, to me I've really learnt a lot and I won't do the same to my children. I will enlighten them on s*x Education at the appropriate time before anyone else does.

And to my younger sister and brothers, I will let them know about the meaning of s*x and the dangers of doing it at an early stage, so they won't fall a prey or victim to such.

It is also my duty to teach and enlighten them on the things they do not know.

And also let them know the work and power in SELF CONTROL and SELF DECISION.

That's what keeps me going.
